It's something new I'm doing on this thread. So far, I've done a brief overview of why FF6 was a big deal and that Hotel Mario post. My general goal is to observe Nintendo history every week, but I'm still open to new ideas about how best to do this.

Does anyone here not like fighting games in general but like Smash? Because I don't like fighting games in general and I want to be hyped for it, especially as there aren't a ton of other games on Wii U for the rest of the year.
Are Smash games easy to pick up? Would you still recommend them to non-fighting fans?

Yes, I highly recommend Smash, especially if you got a friend or two, or three to play with! Maybe there will actually be a useful online mode this time as well.
Haven't you tried it? If so, it's not as "stiff" as other fighters, it has much more jumping etc.
I recommend you to watch gameplay of them all, 64, Melee and Brawl to get the general idea if you haven't tried them out.
