Just  saw this. I want this so bad.

This looks like Donkey Kong 3D, but way more better graphics across the board.

Anyways, I suggest converting 2D into 3D when playing Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Trust Mii, you'll thank Mii later.

3DS News: January 20, 2014

  • Weekly sales data is trickling in. In the United States, the 3DS has fallen to under 40,000 hardware sales a week. The leading software continues to be Pokemon X/Y, with Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, New Super Mario Bros 2, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team also appearing in the Top 50.
  • Gateway, the company that makes flash cards that let you pirate on the 3DS, is maniacally evil. Long story short, their cards modify 3DS systems so that they're bricked if the card's code is being pirated. Gateway has said "We do not answer rumours, speculations and other tactics from people who are not even real competitors, but simply companies stealing our hard work." And they said so without a trace of irony.
  • Rune Factory 4 is now not coming to Europe. I must admite, this has not been a fun news day so far.
  • A Renegade Kid FPS is being announced Friday. Could this be the next Nintendo Direct event?
  • More Majora's Mask teasing from Nintendo.
  • Sonic: Lost World is $20 at Best Buy.
  • On Amazon, get Samurai Warriors: Chronicles for $10.
  • Download the Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver on iTunes for $10.
  • An actual Chibi-Robo 3DS review.
  • Mario Party: Island Tour has a decent British debut. Of course, being outsold by the abysmal Aliens: Colonial Marines almost a year after the latter's release does not make me appreciate British video gaming any more.

No Rune Factory here? That's annoying...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

There will probably be a Nintendo Direct this Friday. Renegade Kid announced that their new 3DFPS game will be revealed on Friday and previously announced that their game could be revealed during a press event.

"We are finalizing a playable demo of our (new?) FPS on 3DS. It's pretty stellar. Hoping it'll be part of a press event at the end of Jan. :)"

"Breaking News: An announcement of an Announcement!! Our FPS for 3DS will be revealed this Friday, January 24. Stay tuned! Excite!! :)"

@bold_ That bit, coupled by the fact that the Moon IP is now of their property, makes me think of a new Moon game.

Anyway, let's hope it's a good Nintendo Direct!

Please excuse my bad English.

Yeah, it's an interesting choice of words. I never played the first game but it did look interesting. I'll probably pick it up if I ever get to buy a 3DS.

The problem is, the Wii U is weaker in too many respects than the other 8th gen consoles. It isn't like the N64, which could get away with an extra 4 MB of RAM. A Wii U expansion pack would have to be massive, both in terms of size and costs to both Nintendo and users. Furthermore, it would likely attract few developers, considering how few people would own both the Wii U and the expansion. On the off chance that Nintendo does release a Wii U expansion, it would likely only be used to improve resolution of select games or something like that.

They won't release anything.

Unlike the SNES, N64 or GameCube, neither the Wii or WiiU have any hidden ports that could be used to connect that "booster pack". Unless you think about the USB ports, but they are so slow that they are useless for that task.

It's not going to happen. End of the story.
