Yes, I'm pretty sure is the netcode, I remember the game having problems at launch period (when I last played it) and they all still here, some players just move faster for no in-game reason (I checked my kart after races over, it was actually set for high speed/acc so shouldn't be getting overtook), this is likely a better connection moving them faster, seen it in other racers, plus you see players regularly warp about, going off road then suddenly being back on it etc, or you dodge a item but still get hit by it, you see a player miss a pick-up but then turns out they got it somehow so you get nothing.  MK Wii never had these issues, I guess MK7 got rushed out for Xmas.  I expect a better standard.



Yeah that's all true, but most of the time it's a non issue. They're taking their time with MK8 this time, so hopefully these issues will be non-existent in that game.

That's true, MK Wii didn't have any problems online in my experience, except the hackers that is. I noticed that my steering was off in that Koopa City stage.

3DS News: January 12, 2014

  • Weekly sales data is in! The 3DS sold over 400,000 units of hardware the last week of the year, as well as nearly 1.6 million units of retail software. Animal Crossing: New Leaf crossed a million in Europe, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon crossed 1 million in Japan.
  • With this week of sales data, the 2013 totals are in! In total, about 14.7 million 3DS units were sold in 2013, along with 56.6 million units of retail software. Games that sold a million copies or more on the 3DS this year included Pokemon X/Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Monster Hunter 4, New Super Mario Bros 2, Mario Kart 7, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Friend Collection: New Life, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Dragon Quest 7, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, and Puzzles & Dragons Z. That's 13 games total out of 2013's 70 million-sellers.
  • A Kirby Triple Deluxe Music CD is available from Club Nintendo Japan.
  • Is a Nintendo press event happening later this month?
  • In an alternate universe...

Wii U news of 12/01/2014:

  • The romantic tragedy between Nicole and Allan continues with "Act 2: The Return of Jafar" (this one is even better...)

  • Retro Studios might work with Miyamoto!
  • Remember the article that bashed the Wii U a few days ago? Well two devs have defended the U. Renegade Kid and Ping 1.5+
  • Sales data for 2013: Wii U sold about 3.1 million units of hardware (with a total of 5.3 million), and 15 million units of software (a total of 19.6 million). Its best selling game was NSMBU with 2.2 million sales (3.5 in total [JESUS, that's over 66% attach rate]), followed by 3D World with 1.6 milion. Right now it has 4 million sellers, with at least 2 confirmed (Wii Party U at 0.98 mill and WWHD at 0.79 mill) and 2 more possible million sellers (Pikmin 3 at 0.69 mill and Lego City Undercover at 0.68 mill)
  • Weekly sales: Wii U sales 111k of hardware and 602k of  software. And I don't know if it was last week, but NSLU is the newest million seller. It was the worst selling piece of hardware in Europe this week...
