I'm going to post minute by minute reactions here. Hopefully, this can double as a summary of events.

• Apparently, it'll be about 33 minutes long. A decent length.
• I don't have high hopes, but as usual would not mind being surprised!
• If I had to guess, they'll have time for ten games to be featured.
• The Social Stream is particularly stupid today.
• I mean, seriously? Kingdom Hearts 2 as a Wii U exclusive?

• Guys, don't get your hopes up for a new Star Fox! And no, such a game WON'T sell millions of Wii U's!

My Score: 4/5

There was no bomb dropped, at least by Western standards, but Hyrule Warriors NES Remix, and Dr. Luigi were good new announcements. There were few if any dull moments in the Direct, always a positive. Year of Yoshi is further hinted at via Sonic DLC, and New Island also gets some good staff working on it. Plus, plenty of smaller things like eShop release dates and Rosalina in Smash Bros, the only newcomer announced in months. Only a lack of a true megaton prevents this from being a 5/5 Nintendo Direct.

I'd give that ND a 2/5. Super disappointed with the Zelda game and we already "knew" Rosalina was in Smash.

That's a bit harsh don't you think? The newZelda was a good surprise, one which wasn't needed I must add. Everything else looked solid, if unspectacular. MK looked great though, dat level design. 

I'd give it 4/5, for these reasons. 

I was hoping for a winter blowout, so yes it's a bit harsh lol.

For a moment I feared that Shibata would sing... thankfully that didn't happen. Instead he has disguised as Layton.

Shibata alone adds 1 point to every Nintendo Direct.- If only his English was better...

3DS News: December 18, 2013

• Rosalina has been announced as a playable character for Super Smash Bros 4.
• Yoshi's New Island is coming this Spring.
• America is getting a Bravely Default demo January 2.
• The PokeBank is coming December 27. Free Celebeis are being given out through September.
• A Chibi Robo game is coming to the eShop January 9.
• Nintendo has won a "Publisher of the Year" award from Game Revolution.
• Europe is getting Layton vs. Ace Attorney March 28.
• Kirby is getting its miniature Smash Bros mode.

I'll post the Wii U news tomorrow in the morning due to some inconveniences (my parents made a party out of nowhere). Don't worry about those news!
