You are a f-ing moron.
Would that be allowed? No no no.
You're so silly
Would that be allowed? Yes yes yes.
It's all about the tone, not just the meaning.

You are acting just like he is, yet he only used the word bias to describe someone who either wasnt around or has selective memory. You however just want to ban them so they cant post. Seems you should be the one banned honestly as you dont even think any opinion that varies from your own should be allowed. |
Really? That conversation wasnt even with me and i never said if i agreed or disagreed with him. But i see no reason for him to call someone biased for viewing things differently than him.
and if that was my motive i would want most of vgc to be gone xD lol

Yeah :) This I agree with 100%
I dont care if someone uses the word biased in the right context but not to criticize someone for different beliefs is all. That just escalates an argument most of the time.
As for the times you got banned i assume there is more to it than what you are leading on. Ive never really paid much attention to your posts but yes ive seen bans that i dont agree with personally
I'm biased towards Xbox but I like PlayStation also. So if someone says I'm biased I'll just agree with them.
I'm not too familiar with the rules here. Are you allowed to refer to yourself as a fanboy?
If not, then historically I've just very, very, very much appreciated Nintendo's products at the expense of nearly every other company's.
Is that allowed? Or do you have to pretend that you have some sort of appreciation for things which, actually, you don't appreciate one bit?
Furthermore, if you are allowed to refer to yourself as a fanboy (which I am not sure you are allowed to do), then if you say, "I am a ___ fanboy" can others agree with you and say, "yes, certainly, you are a ___ fanboy"? Or is that still breaking the rule?

YOu are allowed to call yourself a fanboy. Really most rules are just to keep things as respectul as possible which is why youre not allowed to call someone else a fanboy if it is meant to be a criticism upon that person you are accusing of being a fanboy.
If it isnt meant as a criticsm then it is ok. This is why i see biased as no different. Depends on how it is said.

You're a fanboy.
It's a ok in this circumstance but it's safer to just never use it. I however live on the edge.

Honestly, it still doesn't matter. The whole point of not allowing the word "fanboy" is because the word itself is the problem. People don't like being called fanboys. While people don't like being called "biased" either, there really isn't a way to get the word "bias" to get the same reaction as "fanboy" unless it has become personal between the user and yourself.

REPORTED.
Nah I'm just kidding. I appreciate your sense of adventure.
OP: Probably people should refrain from throwing around buzzwords like "biased", "fanboy", "bigoted", etc. when having a formal argument. Of course, having a proper argument is difficult and it's often much easier to simply insult the person you're arguing with.

Honestly, the word "biased" IS the formal word to use. "Bigoted," on the other hand, I can see as being one you can get banned for. See, even if you use a neutral word with a negative tone, the thing is that you'll have to use words worse than "biased" to make the word "biased" itself become anywhere near the equivalent of "fanboy."
