Wow if the first batch of games take up near 50 GB imagine games 5 years into these consoles life cycles.

I always felt installs were used less and less as this gen went on. MGS4 , Heavenly Sword, and DMC4 with their massive installs as opposed to Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 Assassins Creed III etc using no more than 1Gb. Not counting optional full game installs of course.

MS said all games will be full installed this gen because digital and retail will be equal... the retail disc is just a way to intall faster the game... you can even install the retail disc of a friend and buy the digital version... the install from the disc will works for the digital.

well... just delete them after completed the game... usually i don't play more than 3 games at the same time so this is ok to me even if i just use a 500GB HDD...

Now i love nintendo even more with their SM3DWorld of 1,7 Gb and 10 times more fun then any of X1ps4 launch games... Gamedev is just going crazy, no amount of RAM/hdd space will be enough if you don't optimise your software...

Your right I guess we will have to wait and see.

Giving options is one thing but going into this new gen, i was hoping massive mandatory installs would be a thing of the past. I don't want a single game taking up a 10th of my 500GB HDD, thats insane to even allow such a thing! I mostly used my PS3 HDD for DD Indie titles, music, and movies and I prefer to keep it that way.

these systems should have came with 2 TB of memory.......well what I can take from this is the games should at the very least look noticeably better than this gen that seems to average about 6/8 GB per game

Lol no wonder they all mentioned the ability to play the game while it downloads. it was basically a necessary feature for these massive games.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

This MS install sizes for 360 games have been fine, well under 10GB. This sort of BS install size reminds me of the PS3 and its quite often 30GB+ installation sizes.

Not looking forward to this shit.

These file sizes are ridiculous. 500 gb will not be enough >_>

That's gonna be problem for me buying 7 games at launch date lol most of my hard drive space will be taken lol
