I'm not particularly concerned about getting off topic over discussing a case from the past game; a debate is rather fitting for an Ace Attorney thread.

Despite 4-3 being my least favorite case in the series, and 4-2 being subpar, I still like AJ, due to how excellent 4-1 and 4-4 are. 4-1 is by far my favorite opening case in the series, the entire mystery behind Phoenix Wright's disbarment is executed and explained very well, and the resolution at the end is fantastic. It's a shame the rest of the game was mediocre.

I still like 4-2, at least for introducing most of my favorite characters. But yeah, 4-3 wasn't good.

Come to think of it, I don't like 1-3, 2-3, or 3-3 very much either. :O

4-1 is one of the best cases in the whole Ace Attorney saga. Not only it is the longest first case (I think), but also the most twisted one. 3-1 comes pretty close.

Shall we take nominations for, say, a poll to decide which case is the best in the series?

Obviously the answer would be 3-5, but still.

I agree. 3-5 is just epic. Only 1-6 comes close to that, in my opinion.

Finished case 2 a few hours ago and I have to say it was quite funny. I really liked L'Belle's breakdown and Mayor Tenma was hillarious and surprisingly one of the more cooperative clients in the series.

It's CAW CAW CAW CAW, he is no lobster. Hmm.. What if we'll be defending a man in a lobster suit in AA6 if it ever releases? I'm calling it now, we'll be doing that.

The DLC episode (which is not released yet) of AA5 has Phoenix defending a killer whale xD

I know, I also hope it'll be discounted or something in it's first week at least. It's not like I won't be buying it day 1 either, because I will and that Pathetic Phoenix costume is good stuff too.

Having just finished that case, I can tell you for sure that he never touched the piano in that case either. But then Case 3 in particular was a complete mess from start to finish, possibly worse than the circus case, and going through this replay I'm even more baffled by how you could tolerate, let alone like, that game. I presume the American translators just saw the game's script and decided to mirror the writers' effort.

Nothing is worse than the circus case. The worst part in AJ's case 3 is going through the replay of the stage performance, but other than that it wasn't bad. Admit it, you are just another one of those guys who doesn't like AA4, because Phoenix Wright isn't the protagonist and the oh-so-amazing Maya was ditched.

I'm currently replaying that case right now, and I agree. It's the weakest case in the game (for that exact reason), but it does play an important part in the broader narrative by fleshing out Gavin's character. It breaks the tradition of the third case never being utterly relevant to the overarching plot, I'd say.

And yes, Trucy is more than deserving of her assistant duties. The stunt she pulls in case 2 is simply classic.

And she has magic panties.

Objection!

The first game only has five cases. But yes, the final case was brilliant.

And the introduction of my Ace Attorney waifu, Ms. Lab Coat.
