What I noticed while comparing the sales data was that VGChartz has GTAV also available on Xbox One in 2014.

Europe has always been with the PS brand for some reason. I thought FIFA was initially the better selling game on PS brand. Now this.

The only one to sell better on Xbox was IV and that was at a critical moment when the 360 was destroying the PS3 WW. However, to answer your question, GTA began on PC, but in the console world, was born on PS1.

So, GTA selling better on a Sony platform isn't the surprise, it's the fact that it happened so soon (at least, to me - it was inevitable that the PS3 version would overtake it eventually).

I'm not surprised the PS3 version sold more, seems like it could have gone either way.

However, I'm curious to see if the 360 version gets the lead or closes the gap during the holidays.

Those numbers are also missing the digital sales for PS3. We know that GTA V topped the PSN digital sales in September.

PS3 version had a bundle in europe of course it was going to sell more.



PSP Lifetime more than PSV+3DS Lifetime.
