I can't take you seriously anymore. I mean, fuck... some people said Sony launched the Ps3 too soon because Ps2 sales were still awesome and 599 was too expensive.

That gen was as short as 4 years for Xbox owners. I fail to see how that gen was dying down after 4/5 years but this one isn't after 7/8?? Sorry but I don't remember legions of people in 2004 begging for a new generation because they were bored of PS2. That's all we've seen since 2010 from PS360 owners, despite the great software that has come out.

What has Japan got to do with any of this??

All 2014 - 2015 games will be coming out on PS4 and Xbox One too.

Because every notable game in Japan is on the PS3.
Anything that will sell systems. Literally all they have is Killzone. Knack comes bundled, Drive Club is bundled, Shmups sell like shit... I dont see it man.

But eh who am I kidding you people come from a culture that upgrades their smart phones every year.
Which they're trying to get more people to do by making it affordable.

We'll see how well the new consoles do against PS360 in their first year.  They won't fare as poorly as WiiU because Nintendo completely dropped the ball post launch, but if you're expecting Wii numbers for either of those consoles I think you're in for a surprise.

As for your last sentence, you still just don't get it; the market is taking longer to shift away from the PS360 because they were intended to have longer lifespans than previous consoles.

Niether of the new systems need Wii numbers to beat the ps3... Though I wish that were true because that would mean the Ps3 would be challenging the Ps2 in most systems sold.

Japan will be fine. Don't worry about them. KH3, FF15, MGS5, GT7, yakuza will sell enough Ps4's alone for Sony to be happy.
