They'll turn it into a rail shooter.

Ubisoft will think of something.
Then they'll whine about Wii U owners not buying their gimped games.

Squeenix can't get away with #3. THe PS360 versions have Vita cross-controller and SmartGlass support, so they required extra development time and resources too. The game is being sent to Wii to tank, plain and simple.

Well considering the other console owners already own the game they need to lower the price to sell it again.
Nintendo only games who haven't played the game this should not matter. In anycase they trying to maximise profits for a couple weeks then it will probably drop to the same as the others.

People actually care about the Wii-U version. Why not just buy it on a next gen console, if you don't want a gimped version?

It doesn't use "real" Blue Ray discs. It uses "faux" blue ray, just like the Wii used faux DVD. Wii U discs look like Blue-Ray discs, feel like them, and smell like them, but if you ask Nintendo, they're not Blue Ray. Heck, all it took for the Wii to play DVDs was a software mod. It will probably be the same for the Wii U and BD.
