I'm not suggesting that we categorically refuse to support publishers based on what they do or do not do. If EA ever made a game that i wanted to buy (and put it on a platform i owned), i would buy it, despite being EA.

The point i'm trying to make (now with less vitriol as i've calmed down a touch) is that you can never trust these guys. Be grateful for what's there, buy it if you like it, but know that even the "good" ones (like Warner Bros, Capcom, Sega, and Ubisoft) are going to screw the Nintendo base at times and for unfathomable reasons. Fairness simply doesn't exist for us (Ports to handhelds, in your example, are another matter entirely. Handheld owners should simply expect screw-age from Western third parties in general)

or far more likely...

...nintendo console owners such as yourself simply don't want these games.

Or just as likely, Nintendo console owners are multi-console owners. In the case of Injustice and NFS:MW, both of which I own on Wii U. I had to make a concerted effort to buy both games. I had to wait a half a year for NFS, most people in my situation would have bougt the game on PC, 360, or PS3.  I own all those platforms. In the case of Injustice, I literally could have bought the PS3 or 360 version twice before I even had the opportunity to buy the Wii U version. The most discouraging part of this is that ultimately I had to work harder just to buy a DLC gimped version of each. NFS for Wii U had no DLC support and Injustice has had poor DLC support and gimped on-line play. This is why 3rd party games have such a hard time on Nintendo platforms. You literally have to work to buy games that are often inferior versions to their more readily available counterparts.

Decisions decisions; get the PC version? PS4 version, just to get a PS4 version? Or get the Vita version which I'll actually play? This is a real toughie....

I'd say the PS4 version. High Voltage's PC port of MK9 was pretty bare bones. The PS4 version is likely to get the most attention. The Vita version is probaly going to end up with a Wii U like online audience...unless it supports cross platform play with the PS3 and/or the PS4. Plus if you like Arcade sticks, the Vita version is a non starter.

Or maybe instead of putting all the blame on 3rd parties put a chunk of it on Nintendo for not being able to sell its console and make it a viable product? It's foolish to think that 3rd parties don't care to give you DLCs just cause it's Nitnedo. DLC is moneygrab either way - nobody can deny it, especially with a game like this. But if a game sells 60k copies, there is no money to grab, because just how many people will buy this DLC? 1k? There is no way this would make up for the costs of producing the DLC, so why should 3rd parties bother? They are not charities. I mean, NFS:MW sold 400k on Vita and that still wasn't enough to give us those few additional cars. And while I'd love to get these cars as I really enjoy the game and feel bad about EA for ignoring us (X360 version sold 1.14 mil and they got the DLCs...), we have to be aware that as long as our favourite platforms (PSV and Wii U) keep on struggling, we have to enjoy what we get. Sad but true.

Is this Injustice game any good? How does it compare to MK Vita or the Street Fighter game on Vita? If I'm not really that much into fighters, would I enjoy it? Is the platinum hard to get? ;)

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

With the Vita, I can just quickly throw it on, play a bit, then put it away.  Playing on consoles has become more troublesome for me :(

So they think this will sell better on the Vita than the WiiU and X1? they aren't gunna be happy when they see the sales :/

Vita does have plenty of fighting games though, maybe they have seen it could make a small profit on the platform.

Also on X1 this will be competing with Killer Instinct so that may nerf the sales.

No Xbone version ouch... One of the best fighting game of the last years skipping the console is not good.

hmmm... i haven't played the game yet. does it have good singleplayer?

From what I played I enjoyed it. Similar to recent Mortal Kombat in terms of content.  My only gripe was I was hoping for many more characters and even with DLC felt many characters or skins were left out.  With tis edition have to accept it is done and maybe a sequel down the line might expand.

So let me get this straight, It's Nintendo's fault that I have to go multiple stores to find a 3rd party game that is readily available from that same 3rd Party developer on competing platforms. Who ever you blame for Nintendo's third party woes, once a publisher decides to put a game on platform. It's there responsiblity to make sure the game is actually available for purchase. It is also that publisher's responsibility to make DLC available. You want to blame Nintendo for not getting more third party titles on their platforms? By all means, but at some point publisher has to have some modicum of responsibility.
