Sadly I anticipated this. Will still get it though.

They gave Heavy rain 87.

so I guess you could expect an average of mid 70's overall based on that very unscientific stab in the dark.

Pelit gave Heavy Rain a 93.

Could be different reviewers though. Games like this can be very divisive.

Yeah, you're right... I had them the wrong way around.

In which case you'd expect an average below 70, but I seriously doubt that.    Although I do imagine that Mr De Grutolla is surrounded by people who hang on his every word and rarely say no to him.

Haha, you completely threw me for a loop with the De Grutolla. So THAT'S his real last name!

I also wonder if the game will get reviewed by people outside of journalism.

Anyways, when all is said and done I expect the game to review in the high 70s, which is better than most movies get.

That's true, but if it was reviewed as a movie it wouldn't score so high. If Heavy Rain had been reviewed as a movie I doubt it would get over 4. That's not being critical of the game, it's just that the reviewers would be much more harsh on the story aspects of it as a movie. Heavy Rain may be a good game, but it would have been a very mediocre movie IMO. If De Gruttola wants to make a movie then I suggest he sits as director and gets a writer involved.

Agreed.  Would be great to see a collaboration and proper merging of the genres.

Guillermo del Toro might work. For some reason I could see him doing that.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Not surprising. It never looked all that good in the first place, and it "stars" Ellen Page.

I still wanna play this though.

78 meta. but who cares, right Wright?

Reviews embargo up to release date for a game like this doesnt bode well in my opinion. Ill read a couple of critics tuesday morning before getting a copy.

I still have a feeling this may flop, and if it does I will bump my thread.

Bad reviews or not, I'll probably get the game eventually.

It looks interesting to me. :O

That is to bad. So far 2 holiday PS3 games have been reviewed mediocrely. GT6 might end up the same way. All the focus on PS4 I guess. And of course there is The Last of Us that lead the pack this year.
