6 months, This only shows it was a milking attempt by Nintendo in my opinion

not to mention the high price they are charging for a single remaster, 49.99 for a single game when sony charged 39.99 for two games, sometimes 3 games.

Sony's HD remasters like the Sly Cooper and GOW collections took old games and uprezzed them. Nintendo took Wind Waker and actually remade the entire game for Wii U. Not the same.

The entire game was not remade. Some texures were retouched, but mainly the visual difference is achieved through the lighting system. Content wise,  ontent cut and 2 added items does not make it a remake.

Not to take anything away from Nintendo though, WWHD is definitely the most impressive HD remaster we've seen.

Then I was lied to. But still, more work was put into it than a simple upres.

It could be a carbon copy with nothing but an upres and it would be worth $50 the fact it looks dramatically better makes it all the more worthwhile.

That said I don't think sales are going to be amazing

It looks mighty fine for 6 months. Sure, some times don't add up, but if true then other devs could learn a thing or two.

Like Nintendo, for example.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Great tp hear !
I demand Metroid Prime 1 in April 2014 !

I would have no problem if Nintendo funded a little studio on the side to churn out these remasters and pop them on the E-shop. There are any number of games on the Gamecube and the Wii which could really benefit from the HD treatment and also just giving some of these classics a second chance to be played (especially GC titles)

It was a waste of ressource I am afraid.

Mario Kart Wii U was much much more important for them.

Arent Zelda and Mario Kart games made by different teams? If so, making this game doesnt affect Mario Kart at all.

I guess Halo Anniversary, GoW Collection/Origins/Sagas, MGS Collection, Jak Collection, Ico Collection, Fable Anniversary, Kingdom Hearts HD, Final Fantasy 10 HD, DMC Collection, Killzone Trilogy were all a waste of resources.

Team are not set in stones. Workers come and go at Nintendo where they are needed.

Easy money for Nintendo, no wonder Sonys been pumping out HD remakes.

EDIT: Someone had already adressed this.

That is a short period i think.. The result is wonderful, I wish they could remaster a plenty of other GC titles which I didn't have the chance to get, so that I get a WiiU too.

Cheaper to buy your own.

I always hated internal HD's on consoles.  Its just a way companies can rip you off.  They add 50 gigs and charge $50.

It rediculous.

The internal HDD of the PS3 and PS4 can be replaced with any standard 2.5''-HDD or 2.5''-SSD.

And a SATA-connection is MUCH faster than the USB2.0 connection of the WiiU. I'm still hoping for a WiiU with an internal HDD slot or at least USB3.0-support.

Besides proprietary sh*t like the 360- and XBO-HDDs, i prefer an internal HDD: faster data rates, no additional box, no additional power supply unit.
