not next week ,for sure. it may decline between october 6 and 19 but it's an uphill race after that.

Up and away towards the 10m for the year!

hopefully 7mil! Lowest i see is 6mil(which is sad)

I still remember Man-Bear's controversial 7m prediction thread :O. It would be incredible if it managed to reach 6m at this point tbh. That would mean about 4.6m more from now until the end of the year or over 1.5m per month on average. October will be nowhere close to 1.5m, I think around 350-400k is possible, which means the average for the final two months needs to be around 2.2m...

Thus, the lowest I see is 4mil and the highest 6m. Realistically I am going to say 4.5m for the year

It needs a little less than 3.5mil to gt to 7mil. You made a mistake :P 2.5mil intill 6mil!

Edit: you said year? 4.5mil, so another 3.5mil? confused >_<

I am talking about yearly sales of course :O. Clearly there was some misunderstanding here. So you actually agree with my yearly sales prediction, more or less (4.5m this year + 2.2m last year make 6.7m LTD sales by the end of 2013).

Sounds good, like i said 6mil minimum, my prediction 6.8-7mil, maximum 8mil. Some people dont think it'll be over 5mil total by years end :-/

Whoop whoop! PS3 is CRUSHING Xbot359 by 1 MILLION units!!

So, Wii is the WINNER of the generation (obviously) and the PS3 comes in second and it was released a WHOLE YEAR after the Xboner360.

PS3 has the best controller, too.

not over yet PS3 closed the gap by 180,000 this week.  2015 or 2016 we could see it overtake Wii.  The race isn't over till all the runners stop.  If one runs way ahead and stops right before the finish the other can keep chugging and win it all

Indeed, it can't be over when, in the race where whoever covers the most distance wins, some runners are still running.

7 millions by the end of the year is my bet.

GTA5 still in beast mode it seems. Same as with the PS3 sales. 3DS and Xbox 360 doing pretty good for this time of the year, especially the 360 considering it's age.

WiiU sales have improved, but nothing to write home about and will decline pretty soon, as i can't see it selling well on any webshop. PS Vita still pretty week and PSP refuses to go away.

That's true. But that won't be because of the WiiU itself, but rather the season and the shopping habits you see usually around this time. No console drops in sales after that time.

or, you know, THE GAMES. the holidays have little influence without software to boost the system's sales. vita already proved that holidays alone mean nothing.

Nope, pretty sure the Vita went from Sub 50k in Sep + Oct to 220k in Nov and Dec without a pricecut or games.

Even if wii u sales sucked nintendo would be okay.. Their real bread and butter is 3ds.. If 3ds failed then nintendo would prolly be hurting..they should consolidate the consoles somehow and call it nintendo unity..

Bloody EA sports. Even this crap they called FIFA 14 managed to get to the top 30 (talking about the Vita version obviously). If they actually decided to put some work into the game instead of releasing the same game for the 3rd time, we could see some really nice sales for a Vita game again and probably a hardware boost in EU :(

I'm also sad at how bad KZ:M is doing. I hope NPD will show us it was undertracked, but it still is a disappointment, especially since the game is so good. Guess most Vita owners already decided to put the console on the shelf and lost interest. Sony really needs to get things going and buy some big 3rd party exclusives for it, cause 2-3 big 1st party games per year and a bunch of ported indies just won't cut it.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

because of the holidays. a boost happened but sales remained horrible considering the period. you implied any boost wii u will get is due to holidays alone, completely ignoring the lineup of games releasing for it + price cut and bundles.

You are contradicting yourself, you are aware of that?

i'll make it clear. OF COURSE THE HOLIDAYS boost sales. but vita sales were mediocre regardless = holidays alone mean nothing. the original post was in responce to seece saying wii u would only receive a boost this year because of the holidays, as if that was the only thing going for wii u.
