You think new model + Danganronpa & a soccer management game > ¥5000 - 10000 price drop + Senran kagura & Tales?

And not only that, but it'll have 2x the sales?

Might want to lower your expectations a little :P

Really? 6 colors though! 20k a piece no? Maybe your right but 5-6k a week for almost a month now? Come on. It has to do at least 80k

Tbone, stop doing drugs, you know that the Vita is worth 20k as of now? Right?

Dangaroppa will hardly do much and Vita will hardly go near price-cut levels.

MH4 is dropping hard, apparently there were a new shipment. Wondering if digital sales are really enough to balance the shortages of the retail version.

Incredible PSV sales, more than 100k of new SW, it's really surprising that the HW is that low. Being a niche device, with a bunch of niche games is a dangerous route, Sony needs to expand the audience. Now that PS Pets doesn't sound that bad.

TLoZ WW, did ok I guess, those sales were the ones that Nintendo should've expected, and I hope that they weren't betting on higher sales. With some proper advertising it could crawl until the holidays and sustain some temporal legs.

Looks to me like the 3DS is much more popular than the Vita.

WW sold as expected for a HD release. The NA numbers will give us a much more important picture.

Damn, I expected 50k at least for Wind Waker. Only Mario can save Wii u in Japan :(

I don't really see how 30k was expected.  Plenty of HD releases from much smaller franchises have done more.  Okami, DMC, Team ICO, Zone of the Enders, etc.  While games like Kingdom Hearts (and most likely FFX/X-2) have done far more.  Most of these games didn't have nearly the exposure or importance that Wind Waker HD has had.  OoT on 3DS did five times more than Wind Waker.

OoT is far more popular than WW. Is one of the few Zelda games that sold better in Japan compare to NA (considering attach ratio of course). As far as I know all those other HD games you mentioned were released at a time when the PS3 had a much much bigger install base than the Wii U, hence the difference.

well im sure if WiiU had half of those install bases it would sell 100k, but why would people expect it to be high? I only thought US would hve 100k+. My 35-40k estimate was close. Nobody except a few thought this would help wiiu out overall.

The attach rate of Wind Waker in Japan was higher than in NA.  I really doubt its higher popularity translates into more than five times the sales.  Also the 3DS had nearly the exact same install base as the Wii U currently has when OoT 3D came out.  Install base isn't everything.  Plenty of series see their sales decline even as the base grows larger.  Happened to Zelda on the NES, GB, N64, DS, and Wii (though granted not always for the first week, but it certainly didn't scale significantly with install base.  Skyward sword had 34x more Wii's to sell to, and it resulted in a 34% increase first week, and started to fall behind week two.)
