I think we can safely assume that WWHD sold 10-15% more from the eShop, not that that's great, just a little better

Without hard numbers, can we really assume anything of the sort?

I think the digital downloads usually ends up thereabout, so I think its a pretty safe assumption. I dont think its much less than 10% though

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Looking at re-releases only WWHD's sales (whilst admittingly bad) are more in line with what you'd expect. The other re-releases were all on much more popular HW and OoT3D which is way out in front is a re-release of the most popular game*.

*I'm aware the NES ones sold more but the re-releases of those had nothing added/improved and were very outdated at the time.

What's the basis for the "10-15%" figure?

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Total 3DS hardware sales before OoT came out were actually nearly equal to current Wii U sales.  Of course it was selling about 4x more per week even before the OoT boost.

Edit: And another whole slew of Vita software. For a system that has sold quite poorly, third parties have been offering it incredible support. Arguably better than 3DS.

Thing is, looking at a lot of the support, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Take this week for example.  The two Vita games are from Nihon Falcom & Tecmo Koei.  NF have been supporting Sony hardware for a long time; basically since their shift away from PC-focused development.

Tecmo-Koei debatably haven't (having a stint of Xbox exclusivity for a while); but certainly for Musou titles the focus has always been PlayStation hardware.

So maybe the argument is that these developers haven't shifted away from Vita when it's selling poorly, but them showing up in the first place is pretty expected.  Maybe they just have a good working relationship with SCEJ; or maybe their demographic is better suited to Sony hardware.  Something like that.

I think thats the figure Nintendo themselves seem to give, I could be wrong of course or remember wrong. I dont have any source to cite either right now.

I guess people are waiting for PSV 2000 and VIta TV, no other reason why it has a game debuting at 90k yet only sell 6k units.

Wii U only managing 5k for aguably its 2nd biggest release of the fall is not very encouraging.

Vita Buyers are waiting for the 10th. Next week will surely be terrible, sub 4k I guess
Surprised to see LOH numbers ar almost 100k. WO2 though.. PS3 versions look both decent

Zelda WW has a "Not that bad" opening..

pretty sure they are waiting, sales were ~10k before the announcement.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

There wont be a software draught for WiiU in japan from october and onwards. It will just be some multiplatforms that could do decent and a few exclusives that could move some hardware like; Wii Party U, Taiko No Tatsujin U, Sonic Lost world, Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. SM3D World would be the only title that could move considerable hardware. But thats about it for 2013. (I'm talking retail only here)
