That is next-gen Mario. There is so much going on in that little scene, the lighting is incredible.
This game seems to have one of the best level designs in gaming, in Marioverse it remains to be seen.

No not at all, i love the art style ^^ I mean more that ever since they announced they were making a HD console i really wanted to see a Mario game with graphics that blew me away P: Kind of like Ratchet & Clank's upgrade from PS2 to PS3. The art style stayed essentially the same, but damn that game looked good when it came out (still looks great almost 6 years later).
I was hoping for a similar "IT'S HD TIMES MOTHER F*CKER" but oh well. I'm sure the game will be great none the less :D
Now i shall sit here and hope for the same thing with the next Zelda :P
