Fire Emblem Awakening
...
Nah Grand Theft Auto V is better, but I would give Fire Emblem Runner up.
I've been playing The Last of Us, and I feel it's over-rated. Uncharted was a better franchise, Nathan is a better protagonist then Joel, level designs are better, the cast is more relatable, and funny, and just overall it feels like a better game.
The Last of Us is very repetative, you're always killing people in stealth. Sure building weapons and healing in real time is nice, but the level design is always the same. Plus the game takes place 20 years after a world wide pandemic, there should be much much more vegitation on the streets. Backyards should be thick shrubs and well on their way into becoming forests. Where these was 1 tree, there should be a spread of little trees near it, and where are all the women in the game? You leave town and it's like the all disappeared. I'm only 60% done, so don't spoil anything for me, but I feel I should have walked into a rape scene or two by now, and some of the hunters should be women.
Plus why is there a limit to the number of supplies I can carry? Why is there a limit to the number of bullets I can carry (a very low limit I might add)?
The Last of Us feels like a grind, with its repetative nature. It's a great game, but not as good as Uncharted 2/3 IMO, not as good as Fire Emblem Awakening, and probably not going to be that much better then Assassin's Creed IV or Bioshock Infinite.

You aren't debating, you are nitpicking GTAV but not TLOU. I could ramble on like you about all my gripes with TLOU, but in a nutshell I found it to be incredibly boring and disappointing. I enjoyed the story and that's about it. Now move along. |
Holy crap man, you know what yep, your right, TLoU is crap because of the dialogue. To each his own.
I don't know what you think you strolled into here but this is a thread discussing which game is better and I made my decision, which was TLoU. I gave why GTA5 didn't measure up and gave more than a nutshell, I also gave my reasons why I liked GTA 5 and the progress that I currently have in it, which is quite a bit. I know what I like and I know my opinion and how to give it.
You keep saying I'm nitpicking. Nitpicking is to find fault in insignificant detail. The detail I mentioned to you was most of the side quests and collectibles, so if I'm nitpicking then I guess most of the collectibles and side missions are insignificant. Yet you said GTA 5 offers all this content, but why mention that when most of that content is insignificant.
You call me a nitpicker but then turn around and say TLoU has all these long cutscenes. I prove you wrong on that, but then you say the dialogue that takes place during gameplay while no action is occuring. I don't think you realize how nitpicky you seem. You don't seem to have an arguement as to why TLoU is bad (except for the nitpicking), other than its your opinion. Seeing how its your opinion, we can't really discuss further than that because that's just how you feel of the game and I haven't argued that. You see that's the difference between you and I, you try to argue my opinion, it just doesn't work that way. Moving along, have a nice day.

Yeah, that's just how TLoU is. Although I didn't find it repetitive because theres always differrent ways you can approach situations it is a pretty slow game and can feel like a grind especially if your not into the storyline and you don't like the characters. But keep playing cuz you never know, it might grow on you. The ending is pretty good and the story should actually start picking up for you right about now.

Aggressive Sony fan, where am I being aggressive I thought we were having a friendly discussion? And FYI I just like good games/products I'm not a fan of any of the 3 companies and I criticize and applaud all 3. So again thank you puggster you are the not really but kind of the epitome of a kind of not open-minded gamer and I applaud your one-sided arguments for what its worth :)! |
GTAV has been out ~14 days, but we're on day 3 of the online service being available.
Good job with the cherry picking. I don't know if CoD ever has online problems at launch. However, they sell a massive number of units every year so perhaps they have an infrastructure that can handle a very large number of users at once. I guarantee Rockstar knew GTAV was going to have this problem due to high user activity. Eventually less people will play online and the problem will fix itself.
TLoU didn't have that issue because Sony's servers were able to handle the online activity. Which is much smaller than what games like CoD, BF, GTA, or Halo deal with at launch.
I'm the... "epitome of a kind of not open-minded gamer." How can I be "epitome" and "kind of" at the same time? Think about it, doesn't make much sense.
TLoU just felt shallow in the gameplay department. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. Games like Splinter Cell: Conviction and Deus Ex: HR were more satisfying stealth action games to me. However, TLoU had a better story. I'm sorry if that's being close minded.

Hhahaahah.... oh boy!
I didn't say it was crap because of that. I said the gameplay wasn't tight because there was a lot of that. You just failed to understand what I was saying.

Last of Us Online: Works and is actually fucking great
GTA V Online: Doesn't even work and may even fuck up your singleplayer progress.
