| Michael-5 said: Fire Emblem Awakening ... Nah Grand Theft Auto V is better, but I would give Fire Emblem Runner up. I've been playing The Last of Us, and I feel it's over-rated. Uncharted was a better franchise, Nathan is a better protagonist then Joel, level designs are better, the cast is more relatable, and funny, and just overall it feels like a better game. The Last of Us is very repetative, you're always killing people in stealth. Sure building weapons and healing in real time is nice, but the level design is always the same. Plus the game takes place 20 years after a world wide pandemic, there should be much much more vegitation on the streets. Backyards should be thick shrubs and well on their way into becoming forests. Where these was 1 tree, there should be a spread of little trees near it, and where are all the women in the game? You leave town and it's like the all disappeared. I'm only 60% done, so don't spoil anything for me, but I feel I should have walked into a rape scene or two by now, and some of the hunters should be women. Plus why is there a limit to the number of supplies I can carry? Why is there a limit to the number of bullets I can carry (a very low limit I might add)? The Last of Us feels like a grind, with its repetative nature. It's a great game, but not as good as Uncharted 2/3 IMO, not as good as Fire Emblem Awakening, and probably not going to be that much better then Assassin's Creed IV or Bioshock Infinite. |
Yeah, that's just how TLoU is. Although I didn't find it repetitive because theres always differrent ways you can approach situations it is a pretty slow game and can feel like a grind especially if your not into the storyline and you don't like the characters. But keep playing cuz you never know, it might grow on you. The ending is pretty good and the story should actually start picking up for you right about now.
