You two try so hard at dismissing gta v it's actually quite amusing. Technically GTA V isn't fun? Funny how you tryed to make it sound like that whole paragraph actually wasn't just opinion but also fact which outside of your delusional head it really is still just your opinion. |
I'm not talking about the game as a whole. Read the post again there bud. I was talking about going after 100% completion. The game is very fun if your just casually going through it without gonig after the extras but I'm not that type of player. I'm a completionist, so when a game puts so much on a plate but with a side order of crap it gets very annoying. Go and complete all the stunt jumps and alien parts as well as get gold on all the missions. Then come back to me and say this game didn't absolutely throw you off with all the ridiculousness.
So if a game glitches out, its just my opinion? Lol you need to look up the term opinion, but I'm sure you already know it you were just getting worked up about someone dissing your game.

Yeah, says me.
Perhaps tight gameplay is subjective. Because I felt TLOU was too long and very repetitive, the opposite of tight. Tight gameplay shouldn't have long dialogues and long scenes with no action.
I recently played a game called Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Its kinda like TLOU... but with tighter gameplay. You should give it a try.
Look, I'm not saying TLOU is bad. It was just boring if you want "tight" gameplay.

Going after 100% really isn't that bad you're just bad there are multiple ways to land stunt jumps so what if you have to attempt them a few times over? And every GTA has always had pointless shit like alien parts to collect it's called exploration and this map is beatiful to explore every noock and cranny., I'm not having that much of a problem with most stunt jumps or finding the alien parts, Golding the missions is also fun and i've not encountered one glitch in my neverending playthroughs since launch day. The glitches aren't your opinion but you putting stunt jumps and alien parts under technical shortcomings is wrong and idiotic of you so have a good day. Rockstar can't please everyone but they sure have pleased a lot and gained quite a good rep to become the fastest selling game of all time. Haters gonna hate.
Also if this game is that frustrating to you to 100% then don't 100% it. Noone's forcing you to. I'm sorry that if you don't fully complete a game even one that infuriates you to do so, that it somehow breaks some sort of gaming moral to you, I trully am.

Wasn't TLoU's longest cut scene like seven minutes? As for action, there aren't many games with as tense of action as TLoU, especially on Survival, where a couple of hits kills you or one bite from the infected and your dead automatically TLoU is challenging for beginners on easy difficulty and its even more challenging for experts on Survival. Most games nowadays guide you through the storyline but with this your basically told the controls and your on your way through one of the best strories ever told in gaming, but that is also just my opinion. A game is supposed to be engaging and captivating, TLoU perfects both these by offering very believable, non-hollywood like characters who are put to the test morally, emotionally and realistically while at the same time offering the consumers a beautifully horrific atmosphere to trudge along in. The gameplay matches up with everything so well. ND just can't do wrong in my eyes.
GTA does the same thing for the main storyline. My only beef the game since I'm a completionist is the setup of everything that isn't story related. It all feels tacked on, even if it is fun. I enjoyed tennis, but only for an hour, I enjoyed golf but only for a game. I could say this about everything in GTA 5. But at the same time, all those little things add in about an hour of gameplay so its not a total loss, plus its fun to cruise around in LS and do random shirt. I like GTA, I just don't think it compares to the quality of TLoU, like how TLoU doesn't compare to the quantity of GTA.

There are scenes much longer than 7 mintues that are heavy dialogue or have you exploring some boring area to solve a boring puzzle. He said TLOU had tight gameplay, I don't consider that very tight.
Bear in mind, I didn't say GTAV doesn't have slow moments. I don't feel either game can be considered tight.
I'm not interested in your nitpicking by the way. Ultimately, GTAV is more fun and offers a lot more value. So its my pick for GOTY.

Just so your aware, if you go on Youtube and look up jump stunt locations, you will find many people, as in most comments, saying how frustrating these jumps are. The top comment on one of them is, "Lands perfectly, stunt jump failed". So I'm not the only one there. I spent hours on one jump, landing perfectly over and over again, then it finally gave it to me. I did nothing different from the previous jumps, explain that one to me please. Lol yes, you are correct, I'm just so bad at driving my car off a ramp...lol, ok kiddo. I didn't have trouble with most of the stunt jumps either, its the messed up ones I had a problem with. Putting stunt jumps and alien parts in technical short comings is more than relevant because they included them with no real thought process. The stunt jumps are horribly placed and don't count half the time you land them perfectly. You can defend it all you want and call me names over a message board (whatever butters your toast) but it is what it is.
As for why I still play if its frustrating? All games get frustrating at one point. You put the controller down and you come back. You eventually complete it and on to the next feature. Stunt jumps are frustrating but not in a challenging way, its just poor setup on Rockstars part. Also, I've played every GTA there is. I know what they are about, and I love the map of GTA5 and how it looks and feels. And yes the exploration is awesome, I already had the achievement San Andreas Sightseer less than a week after release. I play a game to its fullest and Im very judgemental when it comes to material that doesn't operate properly, so shoot me.
I got all the stunt jumps completed, all scrap letters, all alien parts, the sightseer achievement and your calling me a hater of a game that I like? I'm simply telling you how I feel about all the extras in the game, that is all. Don't take it so personally. And save me your little speech about how sorry you are, I'm frustrated at a game, not the world, so don't let it bug you too much.

If you go to TLoU's title screen - Bonuses - Gallery - Cinematics, you will find all the cutscenes within the game, I have it up now in fact and wouldn't you know, the longest scene is 7 minutes. I guess you found an easter egg or extra hidden DLC there budz. Funny, I don't remember many puzzles in the game, who's nitpicking?

You could say the exact same thing about BioShock Infinite.

7 minutes? You actually had your stop watching running between action scenes? Nonsense.
I don't consider hidden crap much value.
You're the one nitpicking. Go read your paragraphs if you need proof.
Some Sony fans get annoying when you don't care for their favorite games. Seriously, get over it. Many people feel GTAV is the better game, your whining isn't gonna convince anyone.
