actual game vs a movie is not fair.

What a ridiculous post. Actually this so called "movie" of yours turns out to be a better game judging by the poll.

Poll is run by the rest of the members here which are Sony dominated site ;)

Yeah darn those Sony fans, they run this entire internet thing and they don't let us ignorant people have our own opinions. How dare these Sony fans feel entitled to vote for a game they feel is better, GTA V is only 1 hour and 29 minutes of cutscenes versus TLoU 1 hour and 30 so that 1 extra minute makes TLoU a snooze fest dude! Even though both are some of the highest games on metacritic all the reviewers were just Sony fans disguised as reviewers, right on bro you show these Sony fans boys whose boss! I'm going to go play some Halo and Mario right now so I can pew pew pew and jump over the same log for 2 hours.

Poll is run by the rest of the members here which are Sony dominated site ;)  If you finished TLoU you know you watched about 1 hour 30 mins worth of cut scenes. TLoU is a snorefest. Sorry.

Millions , critics disagree. GTA 5 has three times the cut scenes, and is one repetitive misison after another, same as any other GTA game. Most of the gameplay is muindane, repatitivepointless nonsense. LOU has 1 hout of cutscenes and 15-20 hours of quality, exceptional gameplay, sorry.  Between cut scenes, driving, 50% of game play in GTA is wasted. 95% of games this gen have a lot of cut scenes, The diff is LOU's were emotionally engaging, and told a great story with great characters. But you just like to blow shit up right? What did you do with all ther cutr scenes in GTA?

LOU is on another level, everything it does is done with the utmost quality, it doesnt tack things on for the sake of it like GTA..

Funny the entire media must be sony fanboys then....................

this it has a story, and cut scenes so it must be boring was old 4 years ago, it's obvious you never played it, the game play is exceptional. One dude on VGchartz doesn;t change how great the game is and was received., a smashing critical and commercial success, for a new IP late in the generation says it all.

TLOU has great story, but its a boring game.

GTAV is damn near perfect. Great story, great gameplay, and much more value.

This is a no brainier. GTAV is arguably the game of the gen.

Says you, the gameplay was more tight then GTA which does way too many mundane, pointless, poorly done things. Boring how? Gameplay was outstanding combination of shooting brutal melee, stealth, survival. Reviews and barely anyone agrees. You're in the minority., saying it's boring doesn;t make it so.

I long for the day when a question like this will be universally ridiculed. Both games represents an exercise in fluff and presentation over substance. Neither represents a step forward in gaming in my opinion, it's a firm step sideways as almost everything else that is published these days.

TLOU is a much better games, very different style but still overall TLOU is a lot better. Gtav, to me is overrated. Great games but far from a 98-100 score IMO

RIP ps3, xbox360.

welcome home ps4 and X1

Ni No Kuni is goty for me.
The last of us was an amazing experience as well. I'll play GTA 5 when a next-gen version comes out.

All you can really do is put in your opinion. Your going to have people disagree with you but unless its a technical perspective you can't really argue anyone's opinion. But we can bring this to a technical discussion by talking about how GTA isn't fun in the least when going after 100% completion because of so many factors. For instance, Stunt Jumps, Rockstar completely goofed on the stunt jumps to the point where its just frustrating. This is supposed to be a fun game, why can't they make all aspects of the game fun? Seriously, I can't count the amount of times I've landed a jump so perfectly but "stunt jump failed". Not only did Rockstar make some of the worst placements of collectibles but they give you almost nothing for it. Give us missions for stunt jumps like "do it with this car" or "perform a flip and land on all fours or twos", then reward the player for doing it in specific fashion. These collectibles aren't fun without any actual incentive, its just a pain in rear to go after 100%. Everything in GTA is done in amateur fashion, except for the storyline and missions. But then even the missions start glitching out when going for gold! The programmers at Rockstar have to be some of the worst in the industry or they were too ambitious and didn't know what they were capable of, still leading to the consumer to get a good storyline but crap everything else.

GTA V is easily one of the best games of the generation so it takes my vote.

You two try so hard at dismissing gta v it's actually quite amusing. Technically GTA V isn't fun? Funny how you tryed to make it sound like that whole paragraph actually wasn't just opinion but also fact which outside of your delusional head it really is still just your opinion.
