My personal take has always been that lighting, textures, and graphical effects are more important than poly count. If Crytek wanted to add more effects, better lighting where it did not work for such a high poly character it makes sense.

Can somebody check if Cevat Yerli removed the replies in this twitter?
PS. I questioned again... Edmárcio Santos
Edit - The guys is reporting the tweets questinoing if "TRUE HD XP" means 1080p lol
These must be the most gorgeus graphics I have seen in a game (along with KZ:SF) and the good thing is that they only seem better now. What I am most anxious about though, is the gameplay, but it does seem very competent in that area aswell.
Whats wrong with the gameplay. Surely you can expect roman at those time to fly and attack at speeds similar to kratos right? Thats impossible with what they carry . They did mention that they are trying to get exactly how roman would have fought in those days . In that case the gameplay shown is quite accurate.A friend of mine who is an expert at roman history .. He was impressed with how they fought and told me its very very accurate and the animations is beautiful. He is a pc gamer and finds al console gamers infidels and after seeing this and forza 5 he will be purchasing xbox one which is his 1st console he ever bought in his life.
Looks like the graphics/visuals have improved. Like the other games, I can't wait to try it out.
Ryse really looks impressive. Even if the game is bad, it clearly shows that Xbone has actual potential for very good looking games.

Everytime I post something good the thread almost dies lol ... now bad things is three pages in minutes :D |
It's good to see a big Sony supporter on the site finally acknowledge what others have been saying for quite a while now. But it's not good overall. :(
OT: The graphics look incredible. INCREDIBLE. Launch games usually don't impress me this much with visuals. Bodes quite well for the future of the console.

all i know is that if this are the graphics of a launch title on a platform considered as not so strong (which i also think but i think that even about ps4) then i can't wait to see the games of holidays 2014 or the years after!
but yeah, i still have to see a gameplay video of the final build to know if i even care about the game since i didn't care about the e3 build and i think it's not enough time to change it enough but we will see.
It does look lower resolution than before so the improved shader work is being blurred out by the lower res. But as long as the frame rate is solid compared to previous builds than it will be a worthy trade off for frame rate should nearly always trump graphics.
