OMG! I cannot get enough of this. Is this an Anime series?

On topic: I think Pachter almost said the "F" word there before he said Ninty fans to buy Wii U games and promote it by word of mouth.

That's Nichijou (My Ordinary Life), probably the most hilarous series ever created.  Maybe tied with Azumanga, but it's close.  I could literally watch this show over and over.

It's a funny video, he was kinda harsh to Iwata though, the guy can't help it he's not taller!

Anyways there is no reason to be angry at his comments or any other comment for that matter, unless you're among those who he's refering to. So it's all good.

I didn't watch the video, but I love pachter. Ppl are so hypersensitive. He tends to lean toward MS/Xbox; I lean toward PS; yet, I still like him. Even if some of his predictions are incorrect, who cares? And why does it matter? I will never understand why his predictions cause such apparent harm and offense to ppl that they get so emotional about him. I think certain ppl need their estrogen levels checked.

It became apparent years ago.  Everything he says companies should do would help third parties and hurt first parties or consumers.

Sony is losing money on every PS3 sold and selling at a slow pace?  Solution: Drop the price so they lose more money. The unspoken implication is so that third parties can sell more games at he expense of Sony.  This was when Sony was estimated to be losing around $100 on each PS3.

Nintendo is making a ton of money and breaking sales records with the Wii?  Solution: Release an HD Wii so they can get the same games the the 360 and PS3.  Because a single standard is more profitable for third parties.  It is cheaper to make games for just one system instead of three or more.  Keep in mind this was 2008!

Third parties not making enough money?  Solution: Grab more money from your customers by instituting online passes and release a lot more DLC.  Oh, hello EA, I see you did this exact thing for a while.

All are actual suggestions by Pachter.  There are a ton more that I don't remember.  The guy seems to act like he has no understanding of the market, but he can't really be that stupid.  His real goal is to pump up the positions of the people he is being paid to represent.  He is not making money doing internet shows.  His real money comes from Wedbush Securities.

I bet if he said the same thing about Sony you would loose your sh*t right now

He's obviously hamming it up for the camera as a bit of a joke, but he's not entirely wrong either.

Some of the biggest Wii U supporters on this board have admitted they don't own the console themselves.

I hate to say it too, but the "I buy a Nintendo console and I only buy Mario/Zelda/DKC/Mario Kart" crowd also exists strongly within the Nintendo fanbase. See games like The Wonderful 101 being ignored.

The "wait until it haz games!" might as well be changed to "really, we're waiting for Mario Kart and Smash Bros.".
