Why should Nintendo fans buy a Wii U when it has like no games?

I have two friends who bought one on day one, but after like half a year and no good software coming out they both sold it again. Nintendo is busy making 3DS games, and the impression most people have (myself included) is that they themselves don't really care about the Wii U. So again....why should the fans care enough to spend their money?

it wasn't that bad, my bum wasn't bleeding or anything while watching. Unprofessional? yes but that is expected. But the swearing and the unsult to the twitter asking the question was uncalled for though.
