Forums - Gaming - Ryse: Old and New Builds Compared; 150,000 Polygons vs 85,000 and Better Shaders

where is the downgrade? It looks way better now...more like an upgrade.

Maybe you shoud try watching the E3 Demo and then watching the current one and you'll notice the difference? Big stark difference when you see the actual gameplay

looks less plastic-y. that's good.

4 ≈ One

the background looks better now and the edges of things still look smooth and rounded, but the textures on the character models(the armor in particular) most certainly took a heavy hit,you notice that in 1 second.

Gone from E3 running on PC at 1080p 60FPS to X180 running at 900p 30FPS.
So if a graphics specialist company like Crytek who specialize in IQ are struggling then what about the average company????? MS the veil is lifting

Hahahahaha whar dumb article. Ryse was never a 60fps game and it was running on xbox one in e3. The difference was that is was 1080p then. But seeing how the game looks much better now at 900p, I think crytek made a good decision.

Yes it was running on x180, your right. They just toned the graphics down as they were too much for our eyes! They thought lets impress the xbox fans by going from looking 1080p 150k polygon counts and rock solid framerate to 900p 85k polygon count and less than solid framerate. It was proven with photos that E3 demos were running on PC's with Titan cards. But hey you can console yourself with the knowledge that it was actual X180 hardware and Crytek don't want you playing at such high settings! LMFAO

hahaha you must be a fanboy because your are blind. Do research, RYse, forza and KI were the only games running on x1 devkits at e3, all other games were running on pc. The game has better graphics with lower resolution now than it did at e3. Crytek made a good choice by lowerinf the resolution and polygons for better lightning and shaders.

I'm not even buying this game but your are a misinformed person.

I tend to like a darker more crisp color most the time. The background is noticeably fuzzier

Yes the downgrade in pixels has made the game look better, same as with Deep Down.

Please go look at the launch games for both consoles last generation and the ones later in the generation. Lol dude let them get more tell with it. If there is a sequel it may be way better.

I see you are using the Jump to Conclusion mat though.

I normally ignore your posts as it seems you get banned every tenth time you post, but exactly when was Ryse running at 60 frames per second? And it was running on real hardware at E3. You're thinking of Lococycle. Please try again.

@OP, wow. A downgrade turns out to be an upgrade.

i wonder how the comparison would look if they wouldn't have the picture of the new build from a livestream to let it look "a little bit blurry"
