It's a fairly safe guess. I think it might do a little bit less than that, honestly. But who knows how much it will do in Japan FW. The rest of the world won't be as quick to jump on this like they did on B&W.

In one single week, GTA outsold EVERY Pokemon title except those for the original Gameboy (Red/Green/Blue/Gold/Silver).

The last two Pokemon games on the DS didn't do Lifetime what GTA 5 did in its FW. Ever since the 90s, numbers for pokemon are falling, not rising. So no, there is absolutely no chance in the hell that Pokemon will come close to GTA. Not FW, not LT. In fact, Pokemon won't sell Lifetime what GTA sold in its first week.

Lifetime, GTA will sell more than any Pokemon game ever released. Keep in mind that versions for PC and Next-Gen are very likely next year. Nothing comes close to GTA, not Call of Duty, not Pokemon, even Mario can only manage to hold up if it's a bundled game. There is no competition for GTA.

it didn't outsell diamond/pearl(over 18mil)

edit: Your crazy, XY will sell alot, its not declining anymore. If you think XY alot less, your going to be highly mistaken. GTA5 is massive, it outsold everything. But anyway XY will do good, it'll startoff 3-4mil and climb its way into 16mil-20mil lifetime

Pokemon will do good without a doubt, but it just won't come anywhere near to GTA. Also, I don't see Pokemon breaking any records in the west anymore. It's just not "hot" anymore around here. It will be massive in Japan, but I'm not so sure about the rest of the world.

My bet would be 2.7m FW and about 14m LT.
