That'd be a wise prediction, the best selling on DS is 18m, that's why a 155m install base.

Interest in 3DS (thus everything that comes along with it) is much lower in Europe and America than the DS.

edit: Your crazy, XY will sell alot, its not declining anymore. If you think XY alot less, your going to be highly mistaken. GTA5 is massive, it outsold everything. But anyway XY will do good, it'll startoff 3-4mil and climb its way into 16mil-20mil lifetime

Diamond and Pearl have only shipped 17.63 million as of March this year.  While that is higher than GTA so far, the Japanese release will probably take it over.

 It won't be bigger than BW in the US for sure...the pre orders are far behind.


It is also way behind in Japan. X and Y will have a sub 6mil opening weekend and it's lifetime sales will be behind lifetime of either version of gta5 is my prediction. Especially if nintendo continues the pokemon release cycle the ds had.

ok, just to let yiu kno (not arguing, just trying to explain ) is that this gen will be different. its not going down. I been playing all thru pokemon. XY is bringing back other players that missed past gens back. People who played BW, 95% are coming back. This game minimum will do 15mil. Wait intill we see sales . You'll see its not declining. This gen isnt f***ing around! Its going all out!

12M is my guess. I'm just basing it off trends, observations, vgchartz preorder numbers and amazon sales charts.



Ok, Trust me when i say this, pokemon XY will do much more than 12mil, as much as i play pokemon i wasnt confident BW do well and it still did (15mil). This gen will be huge count on it. I wouldn't rely on pre orders to show you an answer, Amazon pokemon is doing good as hell though. Dont forget its 2 boxes meaning they been in the top 20 for over a month now. This means in reality then been tracking #1-#5 this whole time cuzs its one game! You'll see soon though how much it'll do lol

It probably won't even do it lifetime

GTA V has already beaten number 4 on that list in its first week (without Japan). If XY can even do Diamond/Peal numbers that will be extremeley impressive as DS was HUGE in 2006 and 2007...much bigger than what the 3DS is now...and despite that it took Diamand and Pearl 7 years to reach the number that GTA V pulled off in just one week. So the real question is can XY sell what GTA V did in its first week in its Lifetime? Because no game in the next couple of years will be able to beat GTA V's launch numbers.

which people said that? pokemon will do a minimum of 3mil (its only 1 day of sales FW) and maximum is 6mil. As a huge fan of pokemon 10mil is out of hand. If it had 5 days of sales FW i could see 5mil-7mil

pre orders dont mean anything, XY could be bigger, there is no proof it cant. Its going to be huge, im not being an *** by saying 30mil! Im just saying XY could do 16mil-20mil lifetime.
