Using the brilliant logic in this thread:

75% of those sales came from Japan. Therefore, 75% of Japanese people care about 3D, while only 25% of Westerners care.

Flawless argument!

You missed the point I've mention in some of my replies:

Monster Hunter 4 is only a 3DS exclusive for the same reason why the 3DS got 2 Resident Evil games before release.

Which is because of 3D.

There wouldn't be any Resident Evil on the 3DS, at least not before release if it wasn't for its 3D. And there wouldn't be Monster Hunter 4 being created so soon and made as a 3DS exclusive if it wasn't for 3D.

How much do you think Monster Hunter 4 is going to sell 3DS handhelds, in the West when the game comes out?

Have you played the 3DS Demo (for MH3U) with the 3D ON with Surround Sound (3D Sound) Headphones plugged in to take advantage of the 6.0 speaker sound the earphone jack does?

Yeah, I think you missed the reason why it sold so much.

I don't think that's the reason why.

If you haven't played Tesident Evil Revelations single player with the 3D On (and go to options to change Depth from Normal to Very Strong), then you don't see what Capcom (Japanese company) saw.

There a free Demo for both RE: R & MH3U in the 3D eShop you can download for free, so you can understand.

Everyone will back me up on this, especially on Resident Evil Revelations Single Player campaign.

You can't play a survivor horror Resident Evil in 2D after you have played it in 3D on a Handheld size screen. Resident as a Survivor Horror works best on a small screen with the 3D ON.

What does Capcom making 2 successful 3D Resi games have to do with MH4 being on the 3DS?

Yeah Im sure the overall package interested them, but its a bit of a stretch to say the main reason was due to the 3D

Nintendo could have put out an equally enticing alternative and still have garnered the same result

I don't know, man. There's a reason Nintendo is releasing the 2DS in the West and not in Japan. Because Westerners just don't care about that glorious 3D. This is Nintendo's way of capturing more than the enlightened 25% who realize the truth.

If the 2DS were released in Japan there would be riots on the streets by 75% of people for an insult as removing such an advanced feature, and trying to sell such an inferior device.

Monster Hunter 4 would have NEVER been a 3DS exclusive if it wasn't for 3D.

It would had just been a PS4/Wii U multiplatform game instead. (but only on those 2 systems)

King of Pirates trilogy (from the creator of Mega Man) would have easily ended up being a PS3/PS4 exclusive if it wasn't for 3D.

There are quite a number of games on the 3DS that would have never been created if it wasn't for the 3D.

If you want to understand Monster Hunter being made into a 3DS IP, then just download the free Demo for Monster Hunter 3 Definitive Version from the 3D eShop, and play it with the 3D ON.

FYI you will like the 3D effect in games release no earlier then February 2012 (excluding Crimson Shroud & Unchain Blades), and you will LOVE the 3D effect in the 3DS games release no earlier then Novemeber 2012. (2013 is pure gold in unimaginable 3D Depths being done since no later then as early as March 2K13)

Yes all those games are released on 3DS because of 3D, just like all games on SNES were made because it was "Super" and all N64 games were created because it was a 64-bit console and all PS360 games were created because they have HD.

The 2DS is for ages 6 & younger.

Parents have not been informed the AOA says they should use 3D on their own kids ages 6 & younger.

The problem is some parents won't buy their kids that are ages 6 & younger a 3DS, because it has 3D in its name, and they only listen to other misinformed parents, instead of their own kids optimitrist, LOL but sadly true.

Even Nintendo said the 2DS is for ages 6 & younger ONLY.

EDIT:

Theres a reason they won't release the 2DS in Japan, and that's because those parents are much more accurately inform about the actual effects of 3D.

I Note the sarcasm.

But there would have never been Monster Hunter 4 As a 3DS exclusive if it wasn't for 3D. This game would have been a Wii U/PS4 exclusive instead.

It's based off of "3D is better than anything, 3DS > PS4 in hardware power because 3D grafix takes up over 9,000 Teraflops of power to run.  Need dem 1.21 JIGGAWATTS." - Kaizar 23.9.2013
