The Xbox doesn't dominate in the UK as much as the PS dominates in Japan.

The 360 is in first place in the UK. The PS3 is in second place in Japan.

its actually very far from personal. I'm talking about the market, the collective. The market doesn't deserve or warrant any time or money. It's not a question of emotion, it's a question of commercial good sense. They spent far too much money fighting a losing battle on a market known for its insular practices. Move on. 


I hoped it's personal cause if I would browse your posting history I could find a dozen of your posts where you claim the exact opposite, saying that 360 sold over a million consoles so why would MS ditch Japan if there are markets where it sold even less than that. You argumented that it makes exactly good commercial sense. So that would again prove how you like to change your stance on matters (we all remember the recent sales thread were a poster uncovered your change considering shipped vs sold) and here I thought it's personal emotions talking through you, but after that response it just seems you change how you see fit, unconsequential. Shame cause save for your bias, your words usually hold some water and respected your opinion.

Kowen why are you fed up with this results of this poll? The last 3 years MS did nothing 'games wise' to please the Xbox fans community in Japan. The fanpages/groups are all dead.

There are dedicated Halo 4 japanese tournaments, so they did please Xbox Fans community in Japan

Even though theres quite a few Japanese who bought Xboxes this gen compared to the other consoles, there were most likely westerners living there who and minorities who bought both as well. Its a great way to keep in touch if you have family members abroad. Theres military people over there whom are stationed. It makes sense and I've been noticing a couple of my Otaku friends are moving to Japan.

Well that is a silly assumption. According to this site we're on, out of over 116,000,000 home consoles sold in the US this gen, 62% were from the Japanese companies. Meanwhile out of almost 24,000,000 home consoles sold in Japan this gen (lol), 7% were from the American company.

Clearly we in America prefer the domestic branded console on the same level as the Japanese gamers. Or not. Seems my assumption was dead on accurate.
