Not really taking scores into account, I think gaming journalism is biased against whoever seems to be winning. They seem to get off on disagreeing with what's popular and showing why they're smarter than you. And when you agree with them, they change their stance again.

Just watch. Now that they put a hit on the competition like they did early last gen by hating the PS3, they'll soon praise the Xbox One and Wii U. It's like they say "Uh oh Didn't expect to do that much damage!" And then they try to influence opinions again.
