I wouldn't have responsed if your first assesment didn't come across so negative.
secondly the statement was indeed written at begiining of the 4th day so that could involve data up untill 3rd day

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
| Shinobi-san said: wait people actually believe that Nintendo didn't pay for Monster Hunter exclusivity? How do you explain the game not releasing on PSV as well? If the game had gone multiplat then yeah sure, that would make business sense from Capcom. But exclusive to a new platform that the game has never been on before? Uhm yeah. That would be a very odd decision from Capcom. But then again looking at the numbers this week....with 3DS having a huge % of the market...the decision to go exclusive doesn't look that bad. But still the game would have sold at least a million on the PSV in addition to 3DS sales. That's a lot of lost revenue. I don't think its possible for anyone to reasonably argue that Nintendo didn't pay for it. It was a good move by Nintendo imo, I don't see why people are trying to make as if that didn't happen. |

How can you spin MH4 sales negatively? Its 1.7/1.8 isn't as big as MH3P, so? No one expected it to beat the biggest game in the series. It did better than I thought it would FW, but I also thought digital sales would eat more into its FW. I was very wrong there, so that why I posted what I did.

Vita sales and the PSP killed any shot of Capcom releasing a MH on the Vita.
@ Outlaw
You are kidding right? It has only been 2 days. The other one had double the amount of time. |
not true, vita wasnt out yet wen they announce the game, it was a gamble and they went with the right choice!

just one thing... how do you kno its not as big, we dont have a comparison. I can see if the game sold 1.4mil to call off it being not as close to MHP3 but in this case its 2 days of sales vs 5 days of sales! |
It released on Wednesday instead of Saturday. We'll see how much the extra time helped/hurt its FW sales next week!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, man, im having such a good time reading these responses full of envy and sadness (sadness because they beloved franchise selled very well). Yet, this graph from hardware sales is nuts. There is only 2 significant slices there(both 3DS models, lololol). I never expected a week sale this big, i said
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
