I liked it ;p

Tho I don't play many pinball games to compare it to, I got it more so I could say that I have all the Metroid games

does it compare to the one on Windows XP?

Set between Prime 1 and 2

Tho Hunters is kinda meh, very good multiplayer tho

so it's like this:

Metroid/Zero Mission

Metroid Prime

Metroid Prime Hunters

Metroid Prime 2

Metroid Prime 3

Metroid 2

Super Metroid

Metroid Fusion

,right?

Yup, but Metroid Other M is placed between Super Metroid and Fusion. I want to play Other M because of some of the story in Fusion, so there might be a reason to pick it up, even though many have a rather bad oppinion against that game.

I love them all.

I don't think the story is all that important to care.

I'd still recommend playing Other M. Its a fun game just have to ignore the pointless shift in Samus' personality.

I'd say not to bother with the 3D ones or Metroid 2. All you need to know about Metroid 2 is at the beginning of Super Metroid.

why? a friend of mine played his old copy of Prime the other day, he let me try it, and damn, that shit's amazing!

I've only played the first Prime and it was a bit boring.  Poor mans first person shooter with auto lock on mixed with slow first person exploration.  I didn't get too far before I quit and haven't touched it since.

It's not supposed to be a FPS.....

@BOLD

That is the problem, it is not a fps, it is a metroid game perfectly translated into a first person game.

OP:

I liked Other M gameplay, it is a good game. But it has 2 problems, it is not a metroid game gameplay and Samus personality is not enjoyable.

The order they released or the in-universe chronological order?

The former goes Metroid - Return of Samus - Super - Prime/Fusion - Echoes/Zero Mission - Prime Hunters - Corruption - Other M.

The latter goes Metroid/Zero Mission - Prime - Echoes - Prime Hunters - Corruption - Return of Samus - Super - Other M - Fusion.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Can you play all these games on Wii U? If not, how many consoles do you have to buy to play them all? Damn, if Nintendo released Metroid Prime Trilogy HD, I'd buy a Wii U in a heartbeat xD

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Everything except original Metroid, Fusion, and Metroid II (i think) are playable on Wii U through backwards compatibility and the virtual console.

Wii U/3DS combo makes every game playable, as i think Metroid was released in 3D classics, wasn't it?

Oh, right, Fusion is only for 3DS early adopters atm.
