Can I call him an annoying, lucky little bastard?

You will get your chance, Carl. :)

That video was pretty funny, but yeah parents shouldn't give their kids games that aren't age appropriate for them. And then complain about it later.

But I kind of been playing gta and or other m rated games since I six so this to me really isn't a problem.

It wasn't THAT BAD, but I admit it was pretty poor taste. Then again, that's why CoD is popular today.

Exactly my point and kids most of the time want what they shouldn't have. They want to drive, some want to smoke and drink or do adult things before their time.

There is time for everything. That's what kids should know.

Exactly. Kids are dissensitized to violence today, which is why movies and game companies are always upping bar of gore. I remember when horror used to actually scare people. It was designed to get under your skin psychologically.

Did your parents get the game for you?

i played vice city when i was around 10...

and i remember not knowing how to do missions. I didn't know you had to go to the pink dot until my brothers friend told me (lol) he also gave me the weapon cheat and armor cheat (that's when the fun started!!!)

not once did i ever think about doing this stuff in real life, it was just a damn game...

I wanna expand on my post.

I think it is bad i played GTA that young. now that i think about it if i had a kid, i probably wouldn't let him play GTA until hes at least 14 or 15.

Also i think the added realistic graphics could make things worse, i mean back in the PS2 days the graphics looked like crap, but now there so realistic it could have an effect on children. (? idk)

also about COD, i wouldn't mind them playing it around 14 or 15 BUT i wish there was someway to completely disable voice communications (receiving AND communicating) i mean, have you herd these damn kids these days?! smh (although i guess they probably talk the same in school, but still...)

One thing I find amusing is that kids say  they want to be more like adults by hyping games like GTA5 and Ghosts when there are TONS of  adults  excited for Sonic Lost World, Wind Waker HD, Knack, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and so on. I always found that pretty amusing.

Of course they got the games for me, I was too young to even have the money to buy them myself.

The parents should be ashamed
...it is (imo) bearable if "children" get to play games a year earlier or two (like playing a usk 16 game at 14 or 15, or a usk 12 at 11) but a full 18+ game like COD or GTA for an eleven year old ?
Unbelivable ! I had to swear to my parents that Ocarina of Time wouldn´t contain "any" violence (as in no blood fountains ) to get it in `99 or 98 ...
...these children should grow up with a Mario, Pokemon, Zelda and/ or Ratchet, Jak or Sly ...bah !

Nothing changed

Me and my friends obviously played RPGs and stuff too but we had the chance to play games like Quake,Doom,Resident Evil,GTA and other things we "shouldn't" play.
The only difference from those days is the internet and how easy and cheap you can get your hands on those "forbidden" things.
Everyone these days has the chance to post stuff on there, share the news or play online.
Gaming got a lot more common and is a big part of the world. It turned casual in many ways.
If we or rather everyone had the chance to get cheap hardware/consoles with Online Services and CoD we would probably have experienced the same and maybe even would have turned into these kids we hate so much.
I for myself had the luck to have internet and a PC to play FPS online back then and if i would have acted like the 0815 CoD Kid on XboxLive i would have been banned from every server available.

All this changed - Things you couldn't have or do cause of limitations aren't a problem anymore.
You can do whatever the f... you wanna do.
