Vita is doomed vs wii u is doomed thread !

They are very similar as they both tried to surf/compete on/with the IOS/android hype and both failed.

This is a major shame. Vita is such an awesome and under appreciated piece of equipment. I bought mine specifically for Persona 4 and have played a good few other games on it, but if not for P4 I wouldnt own one.

I think of the WiiU the same way. There just has not been that game that make me buy the system yet, though there are some coming that will compel that purchase.

Lol! First two posts came to the same conclusion. Even if the Wii U doesn't overtake the PSV, the markets have, in the past, been quite different. The PSP outsold both the 360 and PS3 until it fizzled out in the end. GBA outsold the PS2 for a long time until it too finally fizzled out. DS pretty much outsold everything it competed with. As a portable, the PSV and 3DS SHOULD be dominating the consoles. I believe the Wii U probably will overtake the PSV (unless that Vita TV thing and PS4 support really take off) but both look to be doing pretty poorly from where I sit.

Vita fail to compete woth 3ds,wii u fail to compete with ps3/xbox360 and both do bad because of the lack of third party games.

People play android and ios game because they have an ios/android and people have a console because they want to play game 

The end is near. Gaming on consoles will die and we will have to migrate to PC's. Portable consoles will die and be replaced by the Iphone and Ipad.

Pretty close indeed. Won't be for long though, as the Wii U will likely pull ahead over the holiday period.

Why compare the wii u to systems that have yet to release, plus both systems are struggling, so it's good to see this.

Vita launched in February in the west, so beating wii u in Europe is really telling.

Could you please add charts? Showing the current position is great but with charts we can predict the future much better.
