How the Hell are we to make any sort of assumption about that when the two consoles haven't even been launched yet?

When Halo 3 came out, the Halo hype was at an all time high.

Then after being milked to death with Halo Wars, Halo Reach, Halo ODST, and Halo 4..... the series has a lost a lot of its luster.

Not to mention that at the time Halo 3 came out, there werent many big FPS to compete with. Now there is COD and Battlefield, and a few others. 

I don't see Halo 5 having as big an impact as Halo 3 did. 

I'd say its definitely possible, but xone would definitely have to amp up its first party games that appeal to both kids and adults. I mean I already have a ps4 and do want an xone, but more kid games and first party games that would appeal to me would definitely make me want to get one sooner rather than later.

As Nintendo fan who doesn't feel this will effect him, no.

As a game-design student who this may end up mattering a lot to, wait and see.
