You should wait laying down for Titanfall. Untill they announce that IF the game is fetched to Sony your butt might get squared of just sitting and waiting...

When it is revealed that its a timed exclusive. With Sonys preorders and if Sony beats Microsoft badly enough through the holiday season EA and Respawn will just up and announce it. 

Calling any launch lineup the strongest ever well before the critics and consumers have had their way with them is begging to look like a fool. You never know if these games are actually going to be any good. Forza is a safe bet to be an amazing game based on the history of the franchise but all bets should probably stop there. Dead Rising has done well in the past but it's no Forza and it is a Capcom game. We know how they have been doing lately. The more I see of Ryse the less impressed I am about the game overall and the quality of Crytek's games have been on a steady decline. Right now they're known for their engine, not their games. I'm not even going to bother getting into detail about Zoo Tycoon or Powerstar Golf. I'm sure there are a few fanatics who will insist those games have GOTY potential but I'm sure the more rational people around here can agree those games will likely be lost in the shuffle.

Truth be told, the two games I am most looking forward to are Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon. Killer Instinct not so much now but later on when they have added a lot more to the game. Regardless of the pricing scheme, it's hard for me to get excited about only have 6 starting characters and virtually no modes other than Practice and online matches. I'm also a bit skeptical over the fact that the game is being developed by Double Helix. This could finally be their breakout game but I would really urge anyone looking forward to this game to do so with cautious optimism. Crimson Dragon gets me excited because I loved the Panzer Dragoon games and this one looks like it might be able to give me that warm nostalgic feeling. My one concern is that this game will feel way too limited. A rail shooter is a tough sell these days and despite Crimson Dragon having the visuals of a high budget game I think a lot of people are going to feel like it plays little better than many Indie titles. How it plays isn't a bad thing in itself, mind you. Just that I feel there are going to be too many people who are expecting this experience on the level of big budget games.

Microsoft has given itself more opportunities to have successful games at launch than Sony, but whether or not anyone will be able to say it was the strongest lineup ever or even for the generation is something that cannot be said with any amount of certainty until after the fact.

Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and KI all interest me, but I'm still waiting till at least next year to pick up an Xbone, because most if not all of the launch titles will be in the $20-$30 range by then, and we'll get an idea for what's in store for 2nd half of 2014 and beyond for the console.

Plus I want dat Kinect-free $400 bundle. Gimme dat $400 Kinectless bundle M$!!!

Has it already been said that the N64's launch was the best even though it only had 2 games?

Because one of them was Super Mario64 soo.....yeah.

It's coming to the PS4 whether you like it or not. Respawn simply can't just come out and say it will eventually be out on other platforms because of some type of contract they have with MS.

the bar for launch titles historically is pretty low. However nothing comes close to the DC launch, just the launch alone kept you busy for a year. The launch was almost too good. I'm excited about Dead Rising and Killer Instinct though (but cautious).

that's exactly what came to mind when i read that.  Those of us that were actually there at the time were bored to death at the wait between games.  Mario 64 was one of the best games ever, and pilotwings was great too but the wait was agonizing.  PS1 had all the games at the time, even saturn made me jealous at the time.  Looking back on it now you can't tell, N64 has so many good games after its lifecycle finished but the launch was just way too small.   It was the first time i felt like i had to buy games i wasn't that interested in just to bridge me to the next game i was excited about.
