Forums - Sales - How big is Killzone:Mercenary going to be for the Vita?

It's releasing first in europe at sep 4th, one day later in JP and zwo days later in UK. US won't get it until sep 10th. So the launch isn't worldwide and I expect sub 100k FW. However, the multiplayer is relly addicting and word of mouth should help to get Killzone well over 1m this year.

I hope it sells well. Probably I will buy this game with the console :D

Not big enough.

It'll have the same effect on Vita like Pikmin 3 had to Wii U. It'll sell about 30k-40,000 Vitas the first week, but it'll drop slowly within the coming weeks. Best graphics on both consoles by far. But it won't be something that'll last. It's just a game to cater to the fans/Vita owners. It's about time a quality first-party title comes to Vita.

If Uncharted just managed to hit 1m now, don't get your hopes up. 600K.

Not very, 30k first week 500k ltd in USA.

It will be a slow burner game.

Great game though I might add. Beta was awesome.

I'm thinking 400,000 retail sales or so in 2013, maybe three or four times as much lifetime. On one hand, KM has the advantage of being one of the biggest games coming out for the VIta yet, and seems to be of a fairly high quality. Not to mention that it will remain a "standard" Vita game, meaning new users will buy it for a length of time. The small installbase of the Vita, particularly outside of Japan, will hurt the initial sales though.

Nah, it's going to flop.

i hope it won't be a stealth release like sly.I'd say max 450.000

I'd say it will hit 1.5 million LT if the Vita keeps up how it is. Does seem like the kind of game they should more heavily promote, as it really shows what the Vita's hardware is capable of.
