Forums - Nintendo - Bayonetta 2 will flop hard

Then I guess I'll predict 5 million in lifetime sales. Divide that by 10, and it should sell 500k. I'm good with that.

Dont care about sales - I just want it on the WiiU so I can just play both on the same console.

Then again I guess I could always get the PS3 version for $10 for new.

Don't get the PS3 version it has a lot of problems with it, they didn't port it over well.  Get the 360 version.

Ni No Kuni and Tales of Graces f on PS3 were a slap in the face of DS-only and Wii-only gamers.

Bayonetta 2 ain't. Game wouldn't even exist without Nintendo. 500k LT.

No, no Ni No Kuni wasn't

Maybe Tales Of Graces F but not Ni No Kuni

Is the budget bigger than the first one?

We don't know, there hasn't been any word on budget yet.

How many of the resources from the first game are going to be reused? Because if its most of them, the game could sell half a million and still break even.

That's the big question: do we want this game to succeed financially, or do we want it to be jaw-droppingly well-built?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Dat logic.

IF I CAN'T HAVE IT ON THE SYSTEM I WANT, NO ONE SHOULD.

I really am starting to hate this self-entitled generation.

us nintendo fans might be used to it, imagine if we had FF back o.O so many meltdowns!

Well FF hasn't went anywhere because i've been playing FF games on Nintendo platforms for a while now

It's going to flop. I think it will struggle to reach 500k, at the most. After all, it's the kind of violent, sexualized game that many Nintendo fans have been attacking for years.

If it does happen, it will be interested to see what happens next. Will Nintendo stick with the franchise, to show how "core" they are, even if it's not a money-maker? What if they abandon it? What if Platinum/Sega DID go to Kickstarter for PS4/XO/etc.? Would fans welcome it back or turn away?

I bet a Kickstarter for PS4/XO would do quite well, actually. Not that I would trust Sega to think of that or not screw it up somehow.
