Is it 2012 again? I thought all this whining was over and done with.

Calling it right now, whatever your sales predictions are, lower them x10 and you won't be far off.
Why on earth would they release a sequel to a game that had nothing to do with Nintendo's platform? This will likely go multiplat, no way they can continue their relationship with Nintendo and the failing Wii U. I for one wouldn't buy it even if I planned on getting a Wii U. It's a slap in the face for the fans.

If there was a "slap to the face" it would be from Sony and Microsoft more than Nintendo; they didn't back the project, Nintendo did. Bayo 2 wouldn't exist without Nintendo, Platinum have confirmed this. Franchises change companies across generations all the time; Monster Hunter went from PS2 to Wii, Final Fantasy went from SNES to PS1, etc. If you want to buy new games, you have to buy a new system, it's that simple.
It's not going multiplatform, because it's funded and published by Nintendo.
Oh, and you're wrong about the none of the fans being on the platform; Bayonetta is one of my favourite 7th gen games and I will be getting it on my Wii U.
