Forums - Gaming - Sony: “If You Compare PS4 Visuals Side-by-Side With Any Other Gaming Console, PS4 Will Look Better Every Time”

Themz be fightin' words.

Just out of curiosity, how many bits are we up to now? Anyone got an answer? lol

I'd rather be blown away by gameplay or other elements than visuals. Anyone who cares that much about visuals wouldn't be bothering with consoles in the first place. So unfortunately for them, Infamous and Killzone might look nice visually, but it's nothing I haven't seen gameplay wise from those same franchises I can play right now on PS3.

Care to explain that statement?

I suppose you implying that if you care about visuals you should be playing on PC? Last time i checked though, most people playing on PC's are using onboard graphics or low-mid end GPU's.

I wonder if you really know what visuals look like on those systems?

Consoles is absolutely a viable platform for awesome visuals. Hell even the WiiU will have some amazing looking games. Your argument is extremely flawed.

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

I'm not seeing a big increase. Let's walk the walk. Not talk the talk.

Whats the difference between console and PC that it is so clear and obvious?

If you play a console game, it's like having poor eyesight for your entire life, with difficulty moving.
It's blurry and low resolution, low texture quality, poor framerates and not much in the way of things like partical effects, scaled down lighting, low quality shadows... The list goes on.

Play on a PC and it's like seeing for the first time, you're not limited to games rendered at 720P (Or lower) then upscaled to 1080P. - 1440P/1600P monitors are getting pretty darn' cheap these days, especially the Korean ones.
I just happen to have 3x high quality panels for a 7680x1440 resolution, you wouldn't believe the difference that makes.

For a comparative difference, that's roughly a 1,000% increase in pixels hitting the retina! Trust me, it makes a difference. (As most console games are 1366x768 or lower.) :)

DRIVECLUB already looks better than Forza 5... this generation will show a big difference in graphics than last gen.

For God's sake dude why does every post of yours needs to bash something Xbox and Praise something Playstation. Every post you make needs to turn out in a Console war. We all know playstation is your love and everything on it is waaaay better than on competing platforms. But isn't it possible someone thinks something else? So stop stating every thing you say as a fact, it's freaking annoying.

OT: Could be true most games will look better, but I don't think all will. Games with an amazing art direction can look better than your ultra realistic racegame. This comes down to preferences. Btw, I think we're all focusing to much on gaphics lately. I play games because they're fun not because they look good. So instead of having the 100² nextgen graphics discussion why don't we discuss some gameplay improvements nextgen will bring?

I still don't think they look much better than Crysis 3 on PS3. Not that that's a bad thing, just nothing to brag about when you're console's supposed to be 10x more powerful than current gen. (Yet still not more powerful than current PCs)

Why don't you all buy both consoles and stop the arguing in all the threads. If you think that one console is better than another, then why are you all so unsecure and have a need to prove it in every thread?

Who cares when you have a game like Titanfall that is completely destroying everything game Sony has for their launch window lineup regardless of how the graphics look for them? Gameplay will always trump graphics and for me at least as long a game is fun to play and the graphics are passable I'm completely satisfied.

As for multiplatform titles I remember this generation showing PC versions of games where there was a gap but it never bothered me as the differences weren't a deal breaker and most people outside of core graphics whore gamers wouldn't give a damn either.
