Yes lets add a 100 dollar kiect to use instead of out remote or voice commands..............Only proves my point.  Voice is not always accurate and worse then GASP, having to push a button. Gimmick is a gimmick.

You don't even need Kinect for voice.

Maybe kinect is just not for you. Some people like the freedome to do a couple things at once, like use their hands for cooking, or some other task, and not button mashing. Some people also dont like to use 3-4 remotes just to watch a tv show, when they can simply ask kinect to do it for them. To each their own. We aren't all so soley focused on keeping a controller in our hands when not needed. If you can't see the use in that dont buy an xbox one.

believe me I am not, got burned by ms with the 360 and I don;t like their practices and their abandoning their consoles way too soon. An extra 100 for those features is laughable.

really a 3 year warranty is better then ps2 6 month warranty when they had the same if not worse problem?

My PS2 is 12 years old and plays like dream. Hell, my 4 year old PS3 slim crashes way more than my PS2 so idk what problems are you talking about.

Good for you but failure rates where just as bad. i had 4 break on me.

I don't recall a PS2 failure rate debacle the likes of the RROD disaster. If you had 4 PS2 brakes on you, I find it hard to believe it was the PS2's fault entirely or you're a masochist. Then again, I couldn't find any statistics and forums seem to be split on the matter.

EDIT: Wait. so the PS2 had a high failure rate and so you won't trust sony. They make the PS3 with a very low failure rate compared to the 360, fixing most of the problems that the PS2 had...and you still don't trust them. Well, alright then.

Later PS2 where fixed just like xbox 360 but where never warrantied like xbox. Why I will never go to sony again. If they have the problem again they already proved they will not cover it. It's not secret PS2 had very high failure rates early on in the gen.

Umm no they were not, please. RROD was en epic disaster. Ps2 failure rates were still withing line of major electronics or they would have gotten sued........... They also sold 150 million of them so yes more reports of failue not unexpected.

Well Sony invested heavily in the PS Move, according to some people here even before the launch of the Wii. Yet they did not make it the "standard bundle" and it sold like... well ... it did not sell at all.

So as long as bundles guarantee the software support, I am fine with it. MS has enough problems with the X1 already, they don't need a PS Move-like debacle.

15 million is not selling at all?

Is this what happens when you become loyal to a company? Just say extremely inept things? Lol, no thank you. I prefer to live in reality.

It was advertised as THE Game Changer. A userbase of 5 million is and educated guess and this is really really bad.
Please, don't try to spin this. The PS Move did not achieve what Sony hoped it would.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

The last time I checked Sony did profit off of the tech, they sold ten million units. It also won the Popular Science award the same year Kinect came out for most immersive gaming controller.

I kind of agree, but I don't think Sony cared, i think they always viewed it as an add-on, they think it was never going to be anything more then a fad/gimmick and stuck with the core games.

it wasn't only me, it was all my friends. this was no secret. however sony did a great job of covering it up. Not only that, the social web was not as active as it is today. So the problem was known but not all over the web, like everything is today. Sony has horrible record of backing their products. They don't cover their tv's, I had a early flat screen that died and they wanted to charge me half the cost of it to fix it. Sony is a horrible company to spend big money with. XBOX 360, warranty was so good i walked into wal-mart and got a new core out of the box, instantly. Not only that it was all free.  All companies have problems, its how you handle the problems. I been buying products since the Earlier 90's.  So i have history with them. So you may have your reasons but Sony does not back their products.

Thats quite a leap you made there, i said that ONE deal made no diff for sony in america, no where does that mean i said advertising doesn't work. Funny how your mind works.

 The

LMAo you know a few people, hilarious strawman arguments.

The failure rate is well within acceptable norms, Sony is not GOD they could not have hid it.

As for sony not standing behind their products? Laughable. I lost the dvd drive in my ps2, sony repaird it for free, 2 years after my warranty ran out. Sony's products are also rock solid as anyones. Not to mention the ridiculous Over priced hard drives and peripherales Ms consoles.

360 warranty good? It took then 2 years to admit rrod was an issue and ONLY after a lawsuit was brewing, then they gave it, yeah real stand up company. They also knowingly shipped 360 after their own engineers warned them of major issues....sorry but your arguments don;t hold any weight. everyone who has had a launch 360 has gone through multipl consoles, many way before MS admited their mistake.

Nope. The first year it sold about eight million units and then it just slowed down after that because Sony didn't market it and give it proper first party. Sony covered their end making the most sophisticated and engrossing first party periphal hardware, but thats where it ends.
