Does Fifa 14 require PSeye to play it? The quote says PS4+Fifa14 for less than Xb one with free Fifa 14.
Giving away a 3rd party game for free from the day that game launches means things are looking pretty bad in Euro territory for MS. Xb one is already selling at a loss without a bundled game and MS paying EA an extra $30-$40 so they can bundle their game for the launch price is going to add significantly to that loss. To me this implies that Xb one is going to start so badly in continental Europe that it may never recover there and could end up permanently in 3rd place on the continent. That would leave North America and UK as the only significant markets that can give Xb one life. I don't think giving away Fifa 14 is going to do the trick outside the UK; but they've got to try something to convince people to buy.

If you have Halo on your mind you're already committed or at least heavily leaning towards Xb one, those aren't the people the Fifa giveaway is aimed at; though perhaps psrt of the effect will be to bring forward those people's buying decision. It's aimed at the Fifa fans who don't care a fig about Xb one's FPS and Kinect exclusives. it reduces the gap but it doesn't remove it entirely, for anyone who is price sensitive PS4 still represents the better deal.

I don't think it is. I think it is aimed at stopping people who were thinking of chaning sides. FIFA fans will still look at that and think that they can get it cheaper with the PS4 (and probably prefer the controller)

Theres a bunch of free games not tied to PSN+... such as MMO's etc .. one of the sensible things Sony did was not put F2P behind a paywall.
