I would have preferred another actor that was in the running Josh Brolin but I guess I'm okay with Ben Affleck.

I'll wait and see, but sense he'll be closer to a Kilmer or Clooney than a Keaton or Bale.

Ben Affleck the new Val Kilmer

Since this will be a silly movie, I am happy that Bale don´t have to be in it. Put Affleck in Batman, who cares? Bad movies deserver bad actors. also, Will Ferrel should be Superman and a boiled lobster should play Lex Luttor.

And, Ron Jeremy as the Robin

He's hit and miss as far as movies go. Some are really great and some are just awful. I'm going to withhold my judgement and see how this turns out. People were crying about michael keaton playing batman back in the day,and we all know how that turned out.He could be terrible and he could be really good in the role. Let's just all take a deep breath and calm down.

My problem with this; is he was chosen not because of his acting skills. This is no different than when Warner Brothers wanted Ashton Kutcher to be Batman. The only difference is that the suits won this time. It's most likely the reason why this most likely not going to be good; get suits who don't know anything involved and you'll be left with a terrible product. X3 is a perfect example.

Now, Matt Damon as Bruce Wayne, that would be interesting.  I don't think he 'looks' the part as much as Affleck, but I would be more interested to watch him in the part.
