Etrian Odyssey is the best of the lot, and should be purchased by anyone who even remotely enjoys RPGs |
We got the demo now in europe, and I have to say: I was already sold on EO IV based on the first EO. But the demo shows, that the game has evolved in a good way, while it has kept all that made EO such a great game in the first place. Must buy. Two more weeks to wait here in europe.

Of course, this puts me in an odd position. If I had walked into a retail store last week and seen VLR for $40, I would have bought it on the spot. However, now that I know that I can buy it at any time, I'm more inclined to wait until the timing is right for me, or until the price drops down to $15 or so. $25 would have felt like a steal at retail, but now I don't want to spend that much on it. Weird.
Anyway, I'm going to pick up Bit.Trip Saga in a few days, so I don't think Arksys will mind.

For what it's worth, the $25 price is temporary. It's going back up on the first Thursday of September.
