Yeah a hostile environment surrounded by a bunch of people by yourself not knowing what could happen. Attempting to handcuff someone for something illegal they did that was not cooperating with them. Then that person is STRONGLY resisting arrest and making a scene. So the officer uses force another person jumps into the mix and starts grabbing and pulling on the officer then pushes him as well and seemingly takes a swing on him.

And MAYBE the officer did over react by punching her...in those cases they are usually to use a taser on her or pepper spray. So yeah he did panic it looks like but it wasn't even really a clean punch it barley got her(the one who should not have involved herself to begin with) anyway.

So I see where both sides are coming from but the ladies were clearly in the wrong here.

Well deserved. The Problem today is that criminals have more rights than normal working People like me. Police Need to have more rights and more space to react.

I don't know the whole story as to why the officer was in that situation but I'm sure he wasn't just riding around, picked that random black woman, and decided to arrest her. He was there for a reason. I don't see how anybody could side with that lady who got punched in the face. What should the cop have done? Tell everyone to have a nice day and leave?

I would do the same. If you, as a woman, believe are tought enogh to confront a man, you should also believe, you are thought enough to get punch by a man. Equality has to work both ways, not jut one. That's what women need to understand

found this..

"...While interacting with the 18-year-old male pedestrian, the officer observed four female pedestrians j-walk at the same location that the male pedestrian just had. The officer instructed the females to step over to his vehicle. They were verbally antagonistic toward the officer. One female subject turned and began to walk away. The officer again instructed her to step over to his car. She continued to walk away and appeared to raise her hand in a dismissive gesture. The officer contacted the female subject and began escorting her back toward his car. The female subject began to tense up her arm and pull away from the officer while yelling at him. Once at the patrol car the female subject refused to obey the officer’s commands to place her hands on the car. When the officer again tried to gain control of her, she pulled away and twisted, breaking free of the officer’s grip several times..."

also CBS affiliate KIRO-TV found court records showing Levias has been arrested for assaulting a police officer before. According to the documents, Levias kicked a King County Sheriff's deputy in the stomach while she resisted arrest at the Ruth Dykeman Center in Burien, Wash.

Resisting arrest will get you in jail.

She should be thankful he didnt taze her for resisting lol.

That's what I was thinking I was waiting to see if he would pull out a tazer lol.

it was jaywalking, for that dimwitted woman to act a fool, she got what she deserved, it would have loved to see her tazed. Also, if it was a white guy or woman no one prob would have bothered but i see a potential racial component in this video, how long before we see al sharpton?.

Isn't this story like 3 years old?

Anyway, it seems pretty clear-cut to me. If you're trying to restrain someone, and someone else comes at you and mixes it up with you, I think you'd be perfectly justified in throwing a punch. This entire thing started because two people were being stupid, and then tried to force their way past a police officer to get out of it.

Yes it is. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.
