Or maybe Sony was wrong to make it a PS3 title instead of PS4.

You can be sure it will sell close to 500k first week in US

I'm not saying it need to have 300k preorder but less than 42k? It is hard to believe.

I want to believe but I doubt.

holy fuck!!! wow that is a huge difference! will only get bigger as we get closer to launch as well

If you think there won't be GT6 on PS4 too you are so wrong

Won't be... GT7 is for PS4.

100% sure those PS4 numbers are over tracked. No way in hell are ps4 games higher than ps3 games in numbers, its common sense, why aren't people seeing this?

Common sense said PS4 is much more popular than One....

Why not? There aren't really any major titles, besides Beyond and GT6, hitting PS3 for the rest of the year. Given all the attention the PS4 has been recieving, there's no reason why such high interest should be so hard to believe. PS4 is a brand new system launching very soon. It only makes sense that initial preorder numbers are going to look good. Can't wait until Sony's conference at Gamescom. That'll probably boost these numbers eve more. :)

 This.

Pretty much puts into perspective how much more interested in gamers are with the PS4 and XBone over the Wii-U. Funny part is, a lot of Ninty fans still think the Wii-U is going to somehow beat out the next gen consoles.

Gran Turismo 6: “We actually do have a PS4 version in mind”, says Yamauchi

http://www.vg247.com/2013/07/15/gran-turismo-6-we-actually-do-have-a-ps4-version-in-mind-says-yamauchi/

What about this?  It makes sense, as GT is taking longer to develop, they may be able or need to port GT6 to PS4, while developing GT7.  Rather than waiting 3 years for GT7, they could port GT6 to PS4 in a year or two.  I think.  PS4 at some point is going to need a GT game.

Kaz said in Japanese "We actually do have a PS4 version [of GT] in mind".

He never said GT6.

They are working in a Gran Turismo game for PS4... GT7.
