20 million would be a lot. The 3DS got a nice boost from the XL. About a year ago, it had over 200K in Japan in a week. The XL had a smaller impact in the US. Even so, it'll be hard for the 3DS to keep pace with 2012 numbers till October when it should start to outpace those. There is a much stronger holiday lineup, but it'll still be tough.

Here's a fact: The 2013 3DS numbers has been tracking 33% behind the 2012 numbers.

heres another fact, It will EASILY Increase YoY and have at least 15mil 3ds sold this year

By shipments it's behind 2012.

This year for Q1 Nintendo shipped 1.4 million 3DS' worldwide, versus 1.86 million last year, so yeah they're down by about 33% this year right off the bat.

Q2 is almost certainly going to be down from last year too because NSMB2 + 3DS XL launched in that quarter last year.

Q3 and Q4 is where they will have to make hay.

3DS sold 5mil this year, why do you say 17.36 more? shouldn't it mean 15mil?

Edit : we are talking fron jan 2013- to dec 2013 right? and are we talking shipped or VGC sold?

March 2013-March 2014shipped 22 million 3ds-I think its better for the fairness of this bet if we use official numbers
