Ms just loves to throw out how much cash they spent on stuff. Like it matters. They remind me of those kids in high school that paid way to much for shoes and used the price to declare they are better than yours.

Those shoes probably were better though, and you can't spend "too much on shoes" smh

I don't know what is the bigger win... badgenome or basilzero...

We should have a poll about this. Very difficult decision.

didn't know a cross d-pad cost that much

How can a controller that looks almost identical to Xbox 360's cost so much?

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Probably a couple of 100K on upgrades and prototypes, rest on marketing and demos to convince people it's better.

For that kind of money they could have put a motion charger in there or at least wireless charging.

That's too much, but good for them if it pays off.

Lol $100 million to improve on an already awesome controller...and their console is still going to flop because of all the stupid stuff they did with it.

holy crap. if they spent that much on your standard evolutionary upgrade to the previous controlled, i wonder how much Sony spent on the DS4, seeing as its much more revolutionary in its upgrade from its predecessor.

yet they still didnt add a rechargeable battery

Does anyone read or do people just try to post as quick as they can to show everyone how poor of a comedian they are?

Microsoft has spent more than $100 million on designing the Xbox One controller. It sounds like an extraordinary sum, but that includes the design of hundreds of pad prototypes, thousands of hours of user research studies, and creating new tooling and construction facilities. The project dragged on for two-and-a-half years
