LOL, nice.
This is likely across all of Europe except for the UK.
Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Again, this isn't a thread about a survey. The survey is an extra, and really isn't the point of the thread. If you don't like the thread and the outcome, just stay out of it. That is my recommendation. I'm sure you'd see a point if the results were the other way around. It is news, whether you like them or not. |
lol no; nothing to do with the results; PS4 is ahead and I do not care about that.
When I say Surveys or Reports; it IS exactly what you are talking about in the OP. A report from retailers and a survey on neoGAF... Not sure why you keep saying I did not read it... I guess it is more conveniant... Now, if you really believe it is not the point of your thread; that's your problem not mine; and I will not refrain myself from posting in i
News or not, we saw a lot of threads about the PS4 lead in pre-orders in the past month and I do not see the point to create a new one everytime another report/survey "re-confirm" it...

Huh? They can take pre-orders pretty much forever, or until it is sold out. I think I can say with confidence that Xbox One is NOT sold out in those retailers. It's also certainly not sold out over here in another European country. There are plenty of reasons to be found, but the outcome is the same. |
Can only tell you from my time managing Best Buy stores here in the states, that we had preorder limits. We knew how many units to preorder for launch day(we usually got more units than we pre-ordered of course). When we hit that, we told anyone else that wanted to preorder that their unit wasn't guaranteed on any date. As soon as "not guaranteed" came out of our mouth, the person walked away. I don't disagree that there is an obviously higher level of interest to get the PS4 today and probably all the way to launch. But, once both consoles sell out right away, interests will change for a lot of the non-preorder crowd to What's in stock now. So, whoever fills the channel better will see the continued sales.

Didn't MS say they will release in Japan in 2014?
This is the nature of the beast. Each generation, the order changes. The only time I can remember a generation leap that didn't include a HUGE swing in a different direction is the PS1 to PS2.
On a side note, isn't it weird how the Xbox brand has never even sniffed dominance? They got slaughtered by the PS2 and then the Wii. They actually LOST market position falling from second to third this gen.
