Yes, but when they do eventually reach the next gen with Tales I hope it's multiplatform so ong as namco will support it right.

Only in Japan.
Apparently Microsoft is stopping the PS3 version of Vesperia from coming West.

Do you have a source for this? Because i find it extremely unlikely unless they stroke an exclusivity deal for the west that lasts more than 5 years. It is extremely unlikely. Especially given Star ocean and Eternal Sonata didnt have the same problem.
I think the choice not to bring it over has been the responsibility of namco and the tales studio.

I think I remember there being an article demunking that, but regardless i'd rather get new tales other than Vesperia which we have.

How did Vesperia bomb? It sold 650k on 360.

Nevermind.
The employee that said it apologised and said it wasn't true. Still, it doesn't make any sense not to bring it over. Graces F and Symphonia are getting ported over, so it's not a new case of wanting to focus on new projects only. The porting for Vesperia has already been done, and so has the localisation, it just needs publishing. I'd expect Vesperia to be just as popular as the other releases.
Makes absolutely no sense at all.

From what Hideo Baba says they just didnt have the resources to do it. Its been highly requested though, and i believe they have resources now that they rebounded.

Remeber this was at the beggining of the gen. Tools had to be developed. The game sold only 190k in Japan wich is a disaster. First week sales were 8k for europe and below 50k for the US and 106k Japan. The rest probably came from discounted sales for the most part. It was a disaster.
Compare with graces f wich was a port of the Wii game: 218k Japan 15k europe and 127k US (first week). A port did twice as much. Xillia already has US pre-orders of above 128k and did 500k in Japan first week.
I guess its clear now why Vesperia was a failure commercially, even though it was the best Tales title so far (imo and i havent played graces yet). I suppose it helped the word of mouth for future titles though.
Tales of Zest-something?
I better get my chips *corny joke*
Not next-gen sounds perfect. Next gen is not one I'm joining in a while

Most of the sales came after the price dropped on Vesperia in the west im guessing it slowly sold a small bit every week to reach those sales I would think. Still I'll say if you haven't played it its worth getting a cheap 360 for o play it if you dont have one. One of my favorite games of the gen.
